After some serious red-white-blue ballz waiting after the first game, the torture is over.

Here's to hoping that we get some sustained offense from other than the EGG line. Should be a win if that happens.

I've been hankering for some Habs. Anybody think we'll get to see Beaulieu/Bournival play a little?

Not a bad idea IMO, but I'm not sure who we could use as the 4th forward on each of those 2 PP units.

Either Beaulieu or Galchenyuk at the point. Bouillon can't play on the PP.

Galchenyuk played the point on the PP in Sarnia. Last year, everytime MT played Bouillon on the PP... I was mad I and wanted to see Galchenyuk instead.

I watched the Sens-Sabers game last night, and I noticed that Coach Walrus plays Karlsson for the whole 2 minutes on the pp.

Why on Earth does MT not play Subban the whole 2 minutes and on the LEFT side so he can get his one-timer on net? Bouillon on the PP is a disgrace.

Then there's Diaz and Markov on the PK. Why? Why ?? Why ???

Our defensive core is already below average, but at least use it to its full capacity with players playing in roles that they are suitable for.
Wake up MT

Couldn't agree more. Though I know in the past we've tried Plekanec and it didn't work. I like the idea of giving Beaulieu a shot. Galchenyuk is an interesting choice as well. I was actually thinking maybe giving Gallagher a shot.

I'll be at the game! Row AA (against the glass, don't ask me how I got so lucky!)

I predict an exciting game. I'm playing Galchenyuk in my pool instead of Lucic...

any choice is better then FB. not a knock on him; but sending him out on the PP is like send gallagher out to fight a heavyweight. He will wear his heart on his sleeve but its not his role.

by the way.. gallagher in front of the net makes sense. freaking kid always goes to the dirty areas to score and he draws alot of attention..might be just the pp specialist MT is missing

Gallagher can't be that far away from the net, his programming won't allow it. I'm all for Galchenyuk or Beaulieu though.

Actually I"ve been wondering that as well. Even if MT left Subban out there for 1 min 30 seconds.

Don't even get me started on Diaz on the PK.

We'll win this. Giroux doesn't seem in great shape. Let's take advantage of that.

Agreed, but I was thinking more having him do the "back door" play that Markov is famous for. Plus he's got a decent shot, which is what we need from the point. Personally I think the first shot should go to Beaulieu, but I'd be open to giving Galchenyuk a chance.

Understood. It could work maybe with the backdoor'ing, but that's a high risk play, I cringe every time Markov does it because we end up getting caught on an odd man rush sometimes. It takes a highly intelligent player to perform those and I am not sure I trust a 2nd year forward to do them. His shot is best released in the slot area, the point is more a slap-shot thing, unless your wrister is of Subban or Markov quality.

We're definitely on the same page PIM. I'm just trying to look at all our options. Since having Cube on the PP just isn't working.

Already a must win early in the season.

:sarcasm:

No but seriously if we lose this board will go crazy. Also this is a huge test for MT tonight. We will see how well he's gonna play all his line and if he plays PK the full 2 minutes on the PP ( he really should and he has no excuses to not to) .
