I think that $4M is a bit much, but ruling him out because of one bad half season isn't fair. He was solid in his first two seasons (including the bubble) and started as a 20 year old.

I dont know how Flyer fans feel about this but I've had this guy on my fantasy team the last 2 seasons, and hes been wildly inconsistent and really frustrating.

I don't like it at all for the Flyers.

I am a fan of his but last year was awful. The correct play here was a 1 year 2.5-3.5m deal IMO.

3 years walks him right to the edge of UFA. Don't understand this at all. If he develops like you hope he will, he has you over a barrell and will ask for the big bucks on his next contract. And with 1 RFA year left, it will force you to make a decision.

If he doesn't, you have a 4m goalie you need to upgrade on with little value on the market for 3 years on your roster.

3 years is really puzzling here.
