Buffalo wanted Mantha/Larkin, a 1st, and likely something else. There was never any "buy-low" opportunity for Tyler Myers. If there was a buy low opportunity, Holland would have taken it.

I am not sure the rumours it was mantha plus a first are anymore credible then those that said we turned down larkin plus kindl...

maybe because the latter would've made little less than zero sense for the sabres, murray himself said he never got a deal that he was 'blown away' until he got one and pulled the trigger. and the return was way better than larkin + kindl and helps the sabres way more.

All I am saying is.dont buy all the rumours you hear.

The only ones which matter are that myers was available and was traded.
