But nonetheless - we cannot start as poorly as we did yesterday.

I heard on the Rangers' board that we have our own set of rules. We're getting 6 points. Book it!

Thing is, this team seems to be thriving on that, so it's OK.

I might not even notify the league in that event though. I know it's not honest, and I'm not proud of it. But I'd take the free points and run.

Big weekend. Gut check time for the Pens. I think they'll be tough to play against this weekend and that is all I ask.

Would like to Olli's ice time limited tomorrow as he struggles in day games and this is a big one

Makes sense, Simon looked decent enough but having the extra size and physicality makes sense especially with Sheary on the other wing.

He played mostly LW for SKE, maybe he'll be on the 4th with Cullen playing that off wing. His size won't hurt this weekend.

Just one request: that the Pens comes to play from beginning to end. Might be difficult without Malkin as Flyers will likely put all attention to Crosby, but if the other lines & the defense men step up just like the last game vs Rangers (during which 2nd line hasn't gelled yet with Bonino as C), we should be able to upset the Flyers. Ofc the bigger their upset the better

Watched the Philly-Hawks game.
Philly are playing well and getting good goaltending.

Think they are getting Voracek back for this one as well.
Vandevelde got a 2 or 3 game suspension for his elbow on Toews.

One thing the Pens have alot of experience in lately is going into rival Metro barns.
Caps,Devils, BJ's, Isles, Rangers in the last week or 2.

Stick to hockey and we may win.

Interesting move bringing Sundqvist back up.
Added size obviously but Sully probably feels more comfortable giving him D assignments compared to Simon.

I am wondering if Sunday is going to be a big rest day for some players. Perhaps Pouliot/Lovejoy replace a couple D and Sundqvist gives Cullen a breather.

I really think Sully will have the team going balls out against Philly.

I'm not following magic number quite yet, but ive been keeping track of our playoff odds pretty closely:

As of this morning we've got a 92.8% chance of making the playoffs using their weighted simulation, and 91.2% if all remaining games are coin flips.

Most likely first round opponents (weighted):
Florida (26.8%)
Rangers (20.0%)
Washington (17.9%)
Islanders (14.9%)
Tampa Bay (6.2%)
Boston (6.2%)

I like our chances against anyone but Washington, so I'm rooting for that percentage to keep going down.
