That first play in OT was this close:

Battle of the Scotians tonight. CDS had a strong game, Pens had a strong final 10min, apparently its the only time we think its fair to shoot on the net. Geno showed that you cannot forget about the big Russian bear, he was a force out there, that OT penalty was BS. Way to suck it up and earn that 2nd point boys. Nice shot by Letang. He actually hit the net!!!

I don't even know how to react to that game. They don't win this game without DeSmith pulling a rabbit out of his ass, but Francouz also had a really damn solid game as well.

Like I just don't know. I think this team loses probably 80% of games they play like they did today, but DeSmith literally carried them to a win.

Honestly though credit to the Pens for not quitting I guess.

Colorado faded hard in the third and the Pens really came to life. Bizarre to see after all that domination by the Avs.

Character win with a great game from CDS, lots of heart there, especially some late pk work, including OT. Let's hope they can build on this going on the road trip. Not pretty, but this wasn't against a bottom feeder tonight.
