I always laugh when people think refs in this league are biased towards or against any one team. No, they’re just bad and incompetent.

The Flyers are going to lose on an empty net goal when the game is tied 1-1, and Penguins fans are going to blow an absolute gasket thinking that the Flyers intentionally lost to get the Penguins out of the playoffs.

The Flyers need to score soon because if they are tied heading into the end of the period they are going to pull the goalie since their only way to clinch is to win in regulation.

Habs and Flyers with some glorious chances, it was close. You know what?? The Caps are gonna make it with an empty net goal in last minute, when tied 1-1. Flyers need a regulation win here, so they will pull a goalie when tied and that´s how Washington will make it.

The issue is Harkins sucks more and the team was missing a small boost in goal differential for playoffs.
Hinostroza was also a better option than Harkins.

Zohorna had like 6 points in his first 8 games and then completely disappeared offensively. He played himself out of the NHL despite Sullivan giving him a long leash.

If you want to blame anyone, blame Dubas for giving the team such bad depth options that scrubs like Zohorna, Hinostroza and Harkins are playing a significant amount of games.

Of course. We needed like +2 or +3 GD for playoffs. A 4th liner can provide that over the long haul, no problem.

The Pens season will most likely end with one of the following horrid scenarios:

1. Detroit wins, Caps lose... Pens win tomorrow, Detroit gets in by one point based on the Pens blowing that lead in their last game and letting them get to OT..

2. Flyers and caps are tied late in the third and Philly pulls their goalie due to needing the regulation win to beat Washington in the tiebreaker and the Caps win with an empty netter

3. The Caps and Detroit lose, but the Pens lose tomorrow and Philly gets in...

All of these are gut punch ways to end the year

It´s gonna be so fitting. The Penguins eliminated by the Capitals EN goal in last secong to make it 2-1 vs the Flyers. Detroit will complete another epic comeback just to watch that happen too.

I wouldn't say Dubas is fantastic, but.....Hextall would've held onto Jake and got nothing for him.

While Dubas extracted good value and the prospects haven't even shown up yet. Bunting has played very well and gave this team some life.

Doesn't matter who's to blame. We needed to use our best options for depth scoring and then we'd be playing the Rangers or w/e next Tuesday. Bottom line.
Very similar to last year where we were also 2 points short.

No one forced Sullivan to use Harkins and to make depth scoring low prio. He's a PK obsessed idiot.
