It is surprising that the Canes have a decent shot at the #1 pick this season. I thought they were a lock to win the Southeast Division and possibly compete for a shot at the cup in the Eastern Conference. Who would have thought they'd be in the bottom 5 this season?

I know they have had injuries, but come on now. J. Staal is -15 on the season.

Cam Ward's injury didn't help them and they still have a terrible defense IMO

Corvo, Pitkanen, Gleason, Faulk, McBain, Harrison and now Marc Andre Bergeron. Not very good if you ask me but I was convinced as well they would be taking the division with that lineup offensively and solid goaltending from Ward

Molinari just tweeted the practice lineup and says Bennett is skating on th 4th line with Glass and Adams.
