But Virtanen was a Gillis pick and Demko was a Benning pick

6-1 Pens. Our goal scored in the second already down by 6 will be scored by none other than Tucker f***ing PoolMan :yo:

Three cheers for a NHL Network game stateside!

I don't get NHL Network so my eyes will be spared this glorious night!

And I just noticed I get the Canadian Mens curling trials on ESPN+!

Pens are not a good team but have done better than the canucks thus far. Seems like the night Sid will round back into form.

Pens at -210 for tonight. Shows what the oddsmakers think of the canucks.

Penguins are a tough team to read, their results are all over the map..There's no question as to their last two games though..They beat the Leafs and Habs by an aggregate score of 8-0

Canucks were unlucky not to win the Hawks game (5 posts), but moral victories don't mean shit when you've practically run out of runway.

No Hamonic again , which changes all the D pairings around, and makes them vulnerable on the bottom pairing..Hopefully Miller can play..

A loss tonight, and any one of the remaining two.. puts Travis Green out of a job..imo.

Just be patient guys we’re retooling

Unfortunately retooling in this organization means moving on from Benning to Weisbrod (or some other tool).

Or another re whatever, tread water and call it progress, not drown and claim victory, eat shat and call it steak, .....

So another MUST WIN, not really, the odds on even making it close to the playoffs are as close as Benning learning cap management, zilch.

So Pitt is going pretty well recently, if there was betting for a simply win or loss and betting could work that way then betting against the Nux would make millionaires.

The Canucks are not going to lose all their games so a win every 4 or 5 games is expected

Who knows but Pitt by 2

Puts Jim also out of a job. Not even Jim" the teflon GM" Benning can survive another 3 losses in a row at this stage when even the casuals want his head.

Benning isn't going anywhere as long as Aquilini is running this team...as for the coaches, I'm not so sure. The playoffs were already a longshot considering where the Canucks sit on the eve of U.S. Thanksgiving.

But a bad five-game road-trip, and they could basically be buried alive with still two-thirds of the season left to go...and I can't see how Green and some of his assistants could survive that. But then nothing about how this team is being run surprises me any more.

Not to rehash the last game but I will rehash it. They moved from being "unlucky" not to win the last game to typical canucks as they stepped on the ice for the third and let a bad, tired team dictate the play.

On this game...Pittsburgh had a 0.500 start through the first 8 and a bit over that the last 10. They've been perfectly meh. They still have dangerous weapons, players that can control any game and Jarry has been excellent this year between the pipes. They are a top 5 ES team so far this year. This isn't some pushover team.

I get the feeling the media is coaching this team at times. This is not the first time in the last little bit that Green made a line for a shift or two in game, abandoned it, had the media wondering why it was abandoned and then goes back to it next game (The Pettersson line)
