We shook up nearly the whole team in the offseason, then used the preseason mostly as an AHL exhibition... pretty much doomed the first month or so to be time to gel, which was dumb

listening to.some.other team interviews,and when asked why are you guys gelling so well, so early..."well it started in the preseason, we really got some chemistry there"...interesting concept
