I really don’t like the Burns and Slavin combo with Staal in OT. I am fine with Staal to win the draw but put some forwards out there to push the puck forward and score early. The back half of OT’s never go our way.

he's just way too slow for 3 on 3 these days. So is Pesce honestly. Put Skjei and Chatty out there before either of those 2.

It’s comical how bad we are at shootouts and breakaways. Do our guys even know how to deke? We either shoot it right at the goalies chest or miss the net, it’s pathetic.

We were lucky to get a point honestly, we looked like shit all night.

I think the two most consistent shootout performers on the current Canes are TT and Svech and they’re both somewhere around 40%?

Something they should maybe work on?

It is concerning how up and down we are this season. So inconsistent. Super frustrating to watch. They play like world beaters against Vegas and tonite they couldn’t string 2 passes together. Rod has to be losing his mind

He had at least 3 turnovers that I saw tonight. He's just playing lazy hockey. Giving up on plays, not strong on pucks, etc. He's never been a 2-way player but if he's gonna be a 50 ft player we need the upside.

I'm sure they've seen something in practice from a guy like Noesen that make them think he was a good option. I have a hard time imagining it was much like the attempt he took, but maybe. I think the other two choices were fine but nobody we choose seems to be creative enough, deceptive enough, or quick enough with the shot.

I would have gone Jarvis, Burns, Svech. Svech didn't have a good attempt but I think he's got the quickest release on the team.

I’m not 100%, but I’m pretty sure that Canes stat twitter account posted that last shootout.

Bottom line it’s not something they’re really great at as a team.

I personally like the come in with speed fire it to whatever the goalies weakest spot is. We don’t have the players with moves like other teams.
