The thing about Demers is, are you really gonna find four guys who are better than him? No, you're not. So keep him cause he's pretty good anyways

True, we just can't have him playing with the players he has been and against the quality of competition that he was. He will get eaten alive. He's not the Boyle replacement everyone wanted him to be when him in Vlasic were tearing it up in 2010 (iirc that was the year).

Once again, the GM has more than the core locked up with NTC's. The only levers are to revamp the D and revamp the coaching staff.

While we can blame DW for the D. I didn't see Stuart/Boyle dropping all the way they did this season. I thought they'd be ok 4/5 D-men.

Stuart wasn't even a 4/5 level d-man last year. He got worse this year. Boyle's decline was already happening and got worse as well and the Lapierre hit didn't help much. Boyle should've been traded at the deadline in all honesty to keep up the refresh.

You know, that is something of a meme following DW. This always seems to happen to him...he makes a move that 95% of people like, with a supposed 95% chance of turning out decent-or-better, and it doesn't. I've defended him by that metric. Yet when it keeps on happening, maybe DW is overlooking something important.

We've seen this with players like Wingels, Carle, Demers, etc. regressing. We've seen this with players like Vlasic and Setoguchi not progressing. Acquisitions like Winnik, Moore, Grier, Malhotra, Nichol, Moen, not panning out. Players like Havlat and Burns having the issues they are having. Stuart hitting the wall so early...

Vlasic being injured not doubt hurt, but was the reason the Sharks lost was they lost control of the series and tightened up, leaving the Kings to counter with odd man rushes. Ultimately the Kings figured, correctly, that if they played even 5 on 5 they could win if the PK kept it up. No excuses as the Sharks had lots of looks on the PP, they just got shut down.

The Kings really cleaned up on D and the Sharks had only a few good second chances-if those don't go in, frustration starts. That leads to second guessing, playing tentative -you never win if that is in your head. Kings believed they would win, and they played like it.

Kings will trumped Sharks desire. Simple as that

Not Neimi's fault, I think Big Joe's time is up, I would rebuild around guys like Couture, Hertl and Burns.

I would keep Pavelski, Stalock. The guys on the ice are the ones responsible for an epic fail, again, not
Tmac.

Burns was worse than Thornton. Why would you choose to ship Burns off over Thornton?

I think if the bar is high enough that you can't have Thornton on the team Burns would need to be gone as well.

IMO Burns has more upside, can play D and Forward. Plus I like his style of play.

Main reason to ship Jumbo is really you need to reset this team, starting at Captain.

Sharks problem-the D, not talking Vlasic but it's a problem, especially in playoff hockey.
