I laughed when people wrote him off after last season. I remember he wasn't even voted as a top 10 player on here in the summer. Good times.

Sure looks like it. By the way your math is off. Kane is on a 14 game Point streak, not a 16 game Point streak like in the thread title. But he does have 31 Points (11+20) in those 14 games. Also worth pointing out that Kane has only gone pointless once in his last 22 games and in tose 22 games he's scored 18+26=44 Points...

Kane has scored at least one point in every game since 1/3... that is 16 games.

Btw, Johnny Gaudreau was on a similar tear or better for a month and a half or so. He slowed down a tiny bit and then the all star break happened and Calgary has played like 2 games in 16 days or something stupid like that. And his incredible run has fallen off.

For Kane and Chicago fans, hopefully there's no similar derailment. And I hope Johnny gets back on track to make this scoring race even more fun.

Well Patrick Kane is better than Johnny Gaudreau so it probably won’t be an issue

If Kane "slows down" back to his average of about 1.15 PPG over his last 5 seasons, he'll finish with about 112 points. That would be the most since 2010 Henrik Sedin, who also finished with that total. That gets even more impressive when you consider that < 50% of his es minutes have come with either Debrincat or Toews. Kucherov by comparison has almost 90% of his minutes with one of Stamkos or point.

He's having an absolutely ridiculous season whether he hits 120 or not. He won't win the Hart if the Blackhawks don't make the playoffs, but to this point in the season he deserves it regardless.

Kane is playing out of his mind right now, probably as well as he ever has.

But it shouldn't be overlooked just how much hiring a coach with a single ****ing clue of how to run a competent powerplay has helped him rack of up points this season. Same goes for all the Blackhawks big guns (and Gustafsson).

It always amazed me how awful the Blackhawks PP was under Coach Q. That much fire power and not being able to score even with the 2 man advantage was infuriating.

3 points so far for Kaner.

Damn how can you go from a 76 points season to a potentially 120 points season ? Kane is unreal

it is interesting how he went way 'up' then 'down'. All the seasons are great but there are those outliers. Is it just flow with the league? Not really right, since nobody was catching his point total a couple years ago.

But man, on fire this year. he's actually keeping pace with Kuch in Tampa. gonna be a great race down the home stretch.

Another 3 for him, tough to catch Kuch when Kuch puts up 4 himself. They're both unreal, crazy how the top players are putting up points this year.

I'm a bit surprised after last season was a slight lull for Kane, but he's crazy good.

-Last year he shot 3% lower than his career average and about 4-5% lower than the average over his 5 seasons before then. Just a bad puck-luck season.
-Going from an atrocious PP last season to a good one this year. Q was an amazing coach, but his PP management last season was awful.
-More minutes. Playing 22 this year compared to his career average of 20.
-Playing mostly on a line with Nick Schmaltz. I like Schmaltz and he's a good player, but for whatever reason, he just would not shoot the puck in Chicago. He had 118 shots in 78 games playing as Patrick Kane's C. (Scored 21 goals at a S% of 18)

Impressive feat by Kane. Lets see how far up on the list he gets.

3 Cups baby!

I don't care about Kucherov or McDavid. None of them has any Cup compared to this guy who's older but still so clutch. Kane is the best player in the NHL right now.
