It'll be strange for sure, but not much the Hawks could do to change things, as they announced the Chelios jersey retirement before Kane signed in Detroit.

Kane will get his real ceremony after he retires.

That would be the tip in the cap to his career. Would love to see him with 1500 points and retire as the best American player ever

Favorite part of the night was the footage of Kane running into his old teammates by the locker rooms when he arrived. Runs into Seabrook first and first thing he says to Seabrook is "does that jersey fit".
