re: Domino's - the ad is interesting for sure. There is no way they would have rights to NHL property considering Little Ceaser's is tied to the Red Wings, and the Pizza Hut seems to have some kind of deal as well. There is also no way a legal team would of approved that ad (and I'm making a bet legal goes through every ad before its released, and no I'm saying head offices, it mores likely a regional legal team). So they prolly got permission somewhere.

Also, dominos... a personal plea: please bring the Mille-Feulle to Canada. Its the best damn pizza I've ever had, and I want to go back to Tokyo just to get more....

Honestly, that might actually have some truth to it. Dreger has positioned himself as the "inside guy" on this topic, and just because there is nothing new to report doesn't mean he won't be asked to report something.

If my boss came to me and demanded an update on the Phoenix/Winnipeg situation, my response would be "We should know something in a couple of weeks". In a couple weeks' time, that will usually turn out to be true... we'll know something new, even if it's not conclusive... and if it's not true, it's not like anyone's going to follow up on that blind rumor. Dreger might very well be pulling the old tabloid trick of just keeping the storyline alive with no actual news to report.

Well the only other one would be Atlanta. Lots of rumours swirling around them but at this point it looks more likely that the Coyotes would be moving here.

It includes this gem:

Huh? Has this been brought up in discussions here before? Sorry, I haven't read all four dozen threads.

Well the ones on top of my head are the bankruptcy, Moyes circumventing the NHL, the original lease agreements, players with NMC in their contract, the losses accumulated that the City of Glendale agree to absorb

At this point Katz is just a private citizen with an opinion, but because of who he is it gets published.

If NHL hockey comes back to Winnipeg it will be inspite of gov't involvement, not because of gov't involvement. TNSE is the best thing that happened to Winnipeg for increasing our chances of getting the NHL back. If the gov't was involved they would just screw it up and we would never see a team.

So when someone in the gov't opens thier mouths and talks about the NHL, take it for what its worth...... Thankfully NOTHING!
