Made me recall this interesting thread from not long ago and the OP got a rough ride:
The Farce that is Keith Yandle's "Iron Man Streak"
The Farce that is Keith Yandle's "Iron Man Streak"
Capfriendly says Yandle has a NMC. He's also 34 and paid for 3 more years at 6.3 million per. A trade will be real hard to orchestrate.
Kinda scared for Boston...not cuz he is a bad player....but doesnt he usually miss the playoffs on all his teams? Lol
I will respectfully make a slight correction. Moving Yandle before the season? Some of us fans are like:Q must REALLY have a problem with Yands. Not a way you want to start the season if you're a Panthers fan.
If he played anything close to defense I could live with it. This is a man who goes out of his way to avoid contact for loose puck battles. For those asking why Florida wants to dump Yandle, watch him play defense. Great personality and locker room guy, but he doesn’t make the team better on the ice.
Perhaps a reason why he's only been to the playoffs 6 times in 14 years...For those asking why Florida wants to dump Yandle, watch him play defense. Great personality and locker room guy, but he doesn’t make the team better on the ice.
Yes, as mentioned in the tweet.
I noticed nobody was pining for having him on their team though.Made me recall this interesting thread from not long ago and the OP got a rough ride:

Fix it the same week the season opens? Fix it by clashing with a productive veteran assistant Captain who is also the most senior player on the team? Threatening his league leading iron man streak to try and force him to waive his NTC?
I can get Q not liking his attitude, I probably wouldn't either if I was his coach. Just seems a lot less than ideal.
say detroit gets yandle then trades at 50% retained to a contender in a 3 way . would would detroit get out of it ?
Something looks to be in place, don’t think Florida would push to move him without having some kind of an option. How much cap is FLA eating? What is the sweetener? There is nothing about him that screams 'Take me!'
He’s not completely useless and we could always retain. He’s still a high level point producer. This isn’t Loui Eriksson for god sakes. Doesn’t fit out mold of not sucking ass on defense.Yandle not fitting in their top-6 D? Is that a joke?
Also, good luck moving that contract without getting absolutely dusted.

its detroit spending 3 years of cap space , during which time the space isnt needed , for a pick / picks or prospect to improve future instead of just letting the cap space go to wasteDetroit wants to eat half his salary for 2 more years after this one?
I imagine there'd be interest just not sure there's enough interest to justify it for Detroit especially right now when team rosters are pretty much set.
Maybe Yandle and an add to Detroit for nothing and then they auction him off later.
If Ekblad gets to play pp1, he'll easily score at a 50 point pace. He scores 40 pts. a year with no pp time.
All his teammates probably think he's soft and an embarrassment lol
