Grabner had a career year that season after he was waived.
Since then, he's been much less effective.
Did waiving him get him to put the effort in to be a better player?
Is he putting less effort in now or have people figured him out?
Is he the kind of player who can only be effective on a bad hockey team where he can just do his own thing?

All I will say about Grabner is that he was my final round pick for my fantasy team this season, but his true value came to light when I flipped him in a trade for Patrick Sharp.
Yeah waiving a guy w offensive upside on a team lacking talent really made sense.
One of these days you should really get over waiving Grabner, there is much to look forward to.
