Defensive coverage is soft as baby poo.

Shots right into Markstrom's chest.

Shots going 5 MPH not into his chest.

DumpChaseGrindJamGrindTeasePullGoalieLose.

Sums it up perfectly.

Please, no more changes in personnel. This is a systemic issue. The only move that should be made is Gaborik and a new F-ing coach.

We should never have traded for a floater who doesn't play a lick of D.
Either we need to trade our talented players for a bunch of grinders who know how to grind....or we get rid of this "coach" and we instill a real offensive, passing system to help highlight our offensive prowess.

Better being down 2 earlier than later...

Just google optimal time to pull goalie in hockey or something there have been lots of papers on the subject all providing lots of evidence/stats/math that teams are way too conservative.

and lol @ all complaining about being too deliberate and gabbys shot at the end of the game...it was a give and go one timer..defender happened to get in the way...nothing wrong there.

It's not better to be down 2 earlier. One thing all these papers can't measure but everyone knows is that once that empty netter goes in, the game is over, and everyone knows it. A post-ENG comeback is a once in maybe 5 years thing. All it does is shorten the game. Would rather go 5 on 5 and have more time to come back, but especially when you already have a powerplay.

Does anyone remember what an easy game is?
We're gonna be battling the leafs for the 8th spot. They made it this far by handling the easy games, we're in this mess because easy games don't exist for us

If Nash gets suspended he deserves it. He looked like Christian Bale flying out of the shadows and taking out Kopecky. Funny, but suspension worthy.

Pyatt - 3 shifts. LOL

Thought JT Miller went from terrible to average to terrible to average all night. There was one shift in the second period where he led a 3 on 2, and took it behind the net. Then a 4 on 2, passed it into the Florida defender trying to feed Boyle (LOL) with two open trailers behind him. Open you eyes kid.

Kreider skated hard, put him with competent players.

That Nash hit should garner a look from the league. Nothing more than a fine though.

45 of the easiest shots ever fired on an NHL goalie in the history of the NHL.

Time to break up Gabs - Richards - Nash. Time to reunite Hagelin - Stepan - Nash. Put Kreider with Richards and Gaborik... Actually no, that's a defensive nightmare.

I don't know, I thought this game was pretty typical Rangers. Play to your competition.

Guarantee everyone in the locker room and Torts cites the offensive zone time and shot totals as "good things to build on"

**** this team. Make me eat crow, but **** this team.

I like Zuccs and hope he comes back, but he ain't no saviour.
They just fell into a passive mode tonight, just don't know why they did not do what they could.

Billion dollar question.

This team is boring.

Boring, apathetic, uninspired, lacking creativity, predictable, frustrating, abhorrent, laughable, and downright bad at times.

I have never seen so many questionable plays and decisions on how to handle the puck in the offensive zone.

Richards has not been great. But he is nowhere near as bad as he looks in our system. Same goes with Gaborik.

You can't have the Nash-Richards-Gaborik line constantly trying score by cycling down low in the zone. That isn't the lines strength.

That line is going to be about scoring on the rush and passing into the slot for shots.

Our system is not going to exploit that.

The only way Richards is going to look good in this system is if he is playing with two big wingers who can bully in the corners for him.

Also, Cally cannot play with Step. Cally is not a finesse player and can't act as a playmaker. Cally is, often times, getting the puck and he doesn't know what to do with it. The worst thing you can do with Cally is give him time to overthink a play.

Cally should be playing with Miller. Nash should be Step

Krieder should be tried with Richards/Gabby.

Last season, we died in the playoffs because we allowed ourselves to be taken to 7 games twice by inferior teams. We go out and get a proven goal scorer, and it has only taken 20 games for Coach Dump and Chase to reduce him to a minor scorer as well. It is not happening this year, so might as well work on developing the kids and if any deals are made, be sellers and build up the depth of the organization.

NEWSFLASH, PEOPLE:

Scoring a goal doesn't mean you had a good game. One play does not constitute having a good game. Gaborik had opportunity after opportunity and he only converted on one of them. He let in the go-ahead goal, but no, he scored so therefore he was the best player on the ice for us...
