Even though we lost the 3-0 lead, it was IMO critical to eventually getting the win. First of all the Avs were always trying to catch up and never went ahead, so the blown cushion was critical. Secondly their top players had to play a ton of minutes early so it wore them out a bit. Thirdly with the confidence the team has they didn’t panic and a lead is always better than a deficit even if it is the dreaded 2-goal lead (or for the Panthers any-goal lead).

What’s funny is most people probably don’t even know the Coyote player dropped down just before Cuzzy got there. And Cuzzy definitely lets up as much as he could in that split second. The hit he received was far worse. But it is what it is.
