That was quite an effort that PK put forward yesterday. The goal to make it 4-2 was amazing.
He has another level that exceeds NHL playoff hockey.

Can't wait for Monday

... I think the Bruis poked the bear at the end of yesterday's game.

Only problem is if he tries to do too much. He is leading by example. The rest of the team has to play their best game of the series.

I'd choose Subban in my team above any other player in the NHL. Says it all.

There's a few certain centers I'd choose over him, but I don't think I'd take any defenseman other than Weber before Subban, to be honest. That says a lot. Subban is ****ing clutch and plays with heart and passion every ****ing night.

Now just imagine if he played with someone a little bigger and more skilled than Josh Gorges?

Subban is awesome but he needs to take more faster shots on the PP

Like how he scored the second goal last night, the puck went in at the 2nd or 3rd shot on the PP, if he took fast shots like that on EVERY PP, he could have more goals.

Take the ****ing shot PK, no one's going to call you a puck hog, and who cares about the Bruins standing in your way, take the 150km/h slap shot every time you get the puck until the PP ends with at least 10 shots.

I like Subban's patience with it where he finds the opening and releases the puck almost instantly then (like one of his goals in the Tampa series I think).

I think he should shoot more and try to be less fancy. I realize he's an exciting player and can do the fancy stuff, especially when he enters the zone, but on the PP from the point, I'd prefer he just fire that puck towards the net.

While Subban in Swedish means "the b!tch" i think he is a great player, a back bone player on any team with both strength, scoring and leadership. Remembering laughing at him (more his name) during WHJC but wow, what a player he turned out to be!

While i hope for Boston to win (its not personal but you have no swedish players (Murray doesnt count) hahaha) I would love to see a Stanley Cup final between Montreal and Chicago, what a hockey series that would be!!!!!!!!! Two teams defined by speed and enormous skills! =)

Agreed. Subban needs to shoot to score more often. He's much more of a threat when he tries to do his slapshots with full force rather than always shooting to create a rebound or a deflection.

And Vanek is quasi Swedish because we traded Colberg for him:sarcasm:

Hahaha thats a bit of a reach!!! DLR might turn into a great 3rd line with effort, strength and some scoring ability. I must admit always enjoying watching Montreal play, even if only watched games where i was more "for" the other side. The skill and speed of your team is more European than NA. Not to forget, the great atmosphere on the stands during games, wow. =)

All this said, i do find french a bit out of place with regards to hockey. I dont mind french per se, its a cool language but i guess (as an european) i more associate it with Football (or soccer as you might call it).

BTW I do know this Montrealen girl in Stockholm but when mentioning the Canadiens having a great game she simply said: "I enjoy watching hockey live in Montreal, but other than that im not into it".

Guess my NHL knowledge didn't give me any extra points there... =)

Anyway, hope you draft some promising swedish prospects that would make me watch more Montreal games. Whatever happends, good luck in the playoffs, you have a really exciting team! :) You must be the only Canadian fans who doesnt talk about hockey like it was porn, aka size, size, size...

I love skills and Montreal got plenty of it!

Markov and Emelin are both -5, just realized. Therefore, our d lineup should look like this in game 6:

Gorges - Subban
Bouillon - Weaver
Markov - Emelin

Bouillon and Weaver have good +/-. Trust me on this one.

I think the same as you. Sadly though, hes only 1 player. I personally think he should play 40 mins next game. Something like 40 shifts of 1 min on the ice and 40 shifts of 30 seconds on the bench.

Strange eh how only now there are more Subban fans coming out!!
(I couldn't believe how amazing Subban was in his first NHL game...a playoff game...he's been amazing ever since no matter what some doubters wrote/said).

Scary thought...Subban is sooooo young...he's just going to go from amazing to ultra amazing.

40 minutes of ice-time for next game...I was also thinking 40 minutes for Subban (I swear!), but I thought if I wrote 40 minutes, people here would just think I'm nuts!!

Go PK Subban Go!!
Go Habs Go!!
Go health Go!!

You'd probably end up realizing that Weber isn't really better than Subban not too long after making that pick.
In terms of overall Dman, there's three that are really at the top of the NHL, PK-Doughty-Keith, and PK has the ability to takeover a game like forwards such as Crosby have. I can't recall the last time I saw a D have that ability. It's nuts.

There's probably a reason why he's not shooting as fast. He has no issues unloading a shot, hence all his one timers, so if he's holding on to it, there must be a reason.

If I hear/read one more mention in the media about PK Subban being classless or not being mature, i'm going to lose my ****

To put up with all the nonsense that's gone on this series directed towards them and still be able to be the best player on the ice for both teams and handle every question via the media with class and dignity...is just tremendous.

PK is the best player we've had since Patrick Roy.

He's got it all: Heart, determination, leadership, grit, clutchness, pride, character... What a guy!

PK and Carey will lead our team to glory in the near future.

What you are saying is easier said than done. Fact of the matter is he is the highest scoring D these playoffs and top 5 point getter overall! People complaining about his offense are friggin nuts! You can't just take slap shots into a guys shin pads all night long, that is not effective and just leads to frustrate the hell out of you especially since it kills 1/4 of the pp when it bounces out of the zone. All Subban needs to do offensively is keep doing what he's been doing. Scoring a couple of point a night against the bruins in the playoffs is no joke!

Not just for both teams, he's been the best player of these POs and I have no problem saying that after all the hockey I've watched over these past few weeks. I haven't missed much hockey action since the POs started. PK has been the best.
To be the 3rd pt/gp leader, as a Dman, and how he raised his game versus the best team in the NHL, while dealing with all this crap as you said, is just insane.

This guy has such a strong character it's remarkable. I mean, it was evident right from his post draft interview that he had this, but one could never predict to what degree.
I still can't believe the reason why we didn't lock him up to a longer term was because Bergevin wasn't sold on him. I know he wasn't as solid or mature as he is today, but there was 0 reason to really doubt him. I mean really, who gave him this info? Anyways, what's done is done, we need to lock him up long term. This kid will bring Mtl a cup. I'm sure of it.

Totally agree. PK needs to vary his plays to be effective. If he gets too predictable the opposition will adjust and neutralize him. In his second year he was always going for the big slapper and it didn't work. PK is at his best when he's unpredictable and keeps the other team on their toes. That means alternating between slappers, wristers, slap passes, dekes, etc.

I'v been a fan since his draft day

I never lost faith in him despite all the crap the media was creating.

I remember Carboneau saying the best defender for Montreal was Markov....pfffff plzzzzz

Subban is the real deal.
