Our PP is horrendous... big game like this one and a 5 min pp can’t generate anything.. Guzda needs to save that penalty shot.

The team has success when scoring off the rush. The Storm did a great job of keeping shots to the perimeter, and Dawes took over from there.

Well that sucked.. On to the next game hopefully its better.. Tough to lose a game 2-0 when out shooting the opponent 40-14. Especially a game of the magnitude that it was.. but it happens. I didnt get to watch the game but I would think some positives out of it should be that they held them to 14 shots thats pretty impressive in any hockey game.

Owen Sound hit the post or cross bar at least 4 times, fanned on tap ins twice, the bounces just didn’t go our way.. hopefully a better outcome tonight

One post....no cross bars.

Missing tap ins and open nets every once in a while is part of the game. Happens to the best.
When it counts the best find a way to get those pucks in the net. Unfortunately we just don't have that type of player on our team this year. The good news is that I can see a few of our younger guys scoring those important goals next year. Lot's of promise from the up and coming group.

Sometimes you just need the puck luck.

Last night was a night where the team did everything right on the night from a road game standpoint cut the shots down, limited the Storm's quality chances sometimes the bounces just don't go you're way. Last night was simply that a bit of puck luck on Guelph's part and none on ours.

No one's at fault for the effort of last night's game just two luck breaks that ended up in the back of the net. If the bounces went the other way I have no doubt about it that the team would've had the game.

To outshoot your opponent 40-14 and loose by two goals isn't a bad night in my books just needed a bounce or two to go our way and it would've been (2-0) for us.

Team played a good game tonight versus the Pete's. Take out the 2 PPG by Peterborough out of the equation and the game was evenly matched although the play seemed to be in the Pete's favor for stretches at a time.

A two minute span really showed the difference between the Pete's who sit 3rd and the Attack who sit 7th. Experience and speed is a key to winning in the league and Peterborough used their speed to their advantage tonight especially on the transition play caught the team off guard on a few opportunities to even though they may not have capitalized on all of them they did manage to get the bounces at a few keys times in the game.

Good for the guys to work at though and show resiliency and close the gap on the scoreboard even though the final score wasn't in the team's favor.

Onward to Oshaw Monday and a big bounce back game even through the past couple of games have been close (2-0) and (5-3) with an empty net losses aren't mistakes by any means that's good defensive hockey with a bit of puck luck and those games where inches away from wins.

Very good effort. I feel for the guys playing on Monday a tough week to play 4 gms in 6 days with the flu running rampant and 2 guys on the shelf.

3rd in the East compared to 7th in the West really means nothing, the East is a joke lol, I wish Owen Sound could play Niagara, Hamilton, and Kingston 6 times even North Bay.. Owen Sound would be 4th or 5th in the East with its point totals it has now lol.. its night and day between the Two OHL conferences.

The OHL schedule makers are awful, how is it that the Pete’s do a Western swing and get a Friday night off to relax in Owen Sound while the Attack play an away Midwest game in Guelph.. Or every time we play the SOO on a Sunday at 2pm they get a Saturday off while we played a 730pm game.. we always play in the soo on the 3rd game in 4 nights after playing north bay, Sudbury..

The 4 minute high sticking penalty in the third period during the PP really hindered the comeback.
I thought Chenard was solid and really had no chance on the goals scored.

The petes started the season with 11 of 12 on the road, including 6 games in 9 days (NB, Soo, Sud, Sag, Flt and Sarnia). They have played more games than any team in the league except the Soo.
I agree that the Petes and Soo seem to be getting breaks in their sked lately, but it probably has more to do with the number of games played.
Also the Petes weren't resting in OS; they made the 3.5 hr bus trip from Peterborough yesterday afternoon.

Let's be honest the schedule marker has zero to do with individual teams in this league the OHL computer generates the schedule for all teams with a so many week windows for re-make games pending weather conditions in those winter months. To say the schedule maker is awful is like saying traffic lights in Owen Sound are bad.

Tough loss. At least they pick up a point.

Too bad about the flu bug. They'll have the better part of a week to rest up and get better, with no games and no travel the rest of the week.

Big weekend next weekend, two games vs. Erie at home. For what it's worth, we'll get Erie on the back end of a 3-in-3 for them.

The boys played well.
More rookies than vet forwards today.

Bit of a cheap penalty in OT.

Tough way to lose.

Today's game was a simply weighted out in a simple way, healthy roster versus a roster under 100%.

With a limited roster of bodies out there today the guys deserved a bit better fate then an overtime loss, having said that to push a talented Generals team to overtime is still something that is a was good to see, with a bit of luck and hopefully a week to get back to a healthy lineup this little hiccup in the season will be shortly lived.

Having said that, the team has managed cut the gaps in the scoresheets and goals against down of late which if the team can get healthy coming down the stretch then the hunt for a closer post-season rival in the standings is still up for grabs. With 14 games left on the regular season and 7 divisional games left those 14 possible points will be big factors in who and where the guys start the playoffs against in round one.

The race to the post-season has begun.
