The Lightning and Bruins are both elite teams. I think the Bruins have better depth but Tampa has better top end talent. Either one is a very tough match-up, but I think our style of play matches up better against Tampa than it does the Bruins.

Except unlike the actual Rangers of the last few years, Tampa has actual elite talent and fantastic underlying numbers to backup their point totals. Other than a few players, the Lightning are the furthest thing from the Rangers.

Okay. Whatever you say, man.

I'm not here to change your mind.

I just feel the Devils have a better shot at advancing against a team that they've beaten 3 times.

Yes, it was a struggle. I'm not discounting that.

BUT as opposed to the Devils not winning a single game against Boston despite them "outplaying them", I'll take being outshot but getting the fugly win ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

I just stated the Comparison in my post : 2016 Draft 6th rounders.

Saying Bratt's the same as any 6th rounder who found his way into a few NHL games negates what makes him special.

It's like comparing Cam Atkinson to Teemu Hartikainen.

So Tampa it is most likely barring a big comeback. The best offense in hockey by a lot. It will be wide open, I’m expecting some really high scoring games with the shaky goaltending they’re getting lately.

Vasilevsky still has a .920 sv% this season. He has the talent to get hot and steal a series, which scares me. He's the exact opposite of Kinkaid right now. Generally an excellent goalie who has been ice cold down the stretch.

How couldn't I have guessed that DD would still be pumping the Panthers tires on the last day of the regular season, even after they've already been eliminated? He's putting so much air in their tires that they're about to explode.

I’d actually rather face overrated Rask than Vasilevskiy in the first round. Rask is the most overrated tender in hockey. In B4 “But Martin Jones tho” from Bleed.
There ain't no way that Jones is better than Rask. I know that you know that.

Did any of you guys want DeBrusk over PZ in 2015?

FLA is dominating puck possession
Here we go again

All we need are some Rangers (and) or Islanders tire pumping and the DD hat trick will be complete!:sarcasm:

Yeah, he’s talented for sure. If he plays close to what he was earlier in the year, we don’t have a legitimate chance. If he plays like he has lately (which he very well could because fatigue has been his issue apparently), we have a shot.

Was largely from the first half of the year...

The last 25 he hasn't been good.

65 games is new territory for Vasilevsky and he hasn't handled it well at all and it only get tougher now.

They're more like the Caps to me, without the cloud of annual playoff futility hanging over them.

I do think they're vulnerable though given Vasilevsky's struggles down the stretch.

There's no doubt he's struggled down the stretch. That's why I said he's the opposite of Kinkaid. Huge question mark whether you're getting early season Vasilevsky or late season Vasilevsky. My point is you can't really bank on them having goaltending as a crutch because he still has all the talent in the world and he's not the guy you want to see get hot.
