Anyone have any thoughts on Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker coming out this weekend? I loved Force Awakens, was a bit nonplussed with Last Jedi (although it didn’t get quite the strong reaction from me that it got from some), and I’m excited to see how they cap this story off.
LOL.
I’m enjoying the Mandalorian as well, but I disagree on the new trilogy. I like it a lot better than the Prequels, but of course, nothing will really touch the OT for me. Although I may like Force Awakens more than Return of the Jedi.
rogue one is the best movie in the Star Wars universe (outside the originals and even then it might be) in my opinion. Everything was compelling and it was very well done.
To basically have *ALL* the main characters die at the end. They could've taken the easy way out and given it a standard Hollywood happy ending
I have the impression that Disney has already ruined star wars. I havent seen the last 2 movies yet however but from what I've heard and the trailers it seems like diluted money grabbing films rather than propagating the storyline.
I haven’t seen Rise of Skywalker yet and really want to judge that film on its own merits - but I think it’s pretty apparent that this sequel trilogy would have seriously benefitted from being mapped out from beginning to end before they released The Force Awakens.
What we are ending up with is different directors retconning and rewriting elements they liked or didn’t like from what came before, and a story that ultimately feels like it was made up as it went along...because it was.
Can't wait for Dune — I have full confidence in Denis VilleneuveSo really not a lot to be upset about right now if the new Star Wars doesn't live up to your expectations.
Let David Lynch do a proper redux of Dune! I need to see it raining on Arrakis again!.Can't wait for Dune — I have full confidence in Denis Villeneuve
I’m from Hong Kong and I have no idea why you would wanna move thereI’ll be moving to an area in China that is......
1) 10 minutes away from their version of Las Vegas
2) An hour away from their version of New York City (by Ferry).
3) An hour away from their version of San Francisco (by Ferry).
4) 90 minutes away from the Chinese “sister” city of Vancouver (by High Speed train).
My manager is from HK and even he didn’t want to go back during his vacation.I’m from Hong Kong and I have no idea why you would wanna move there

Whats your profession? If you dont mind me asking.I'm not moving to Hong Kong. Close to there, but not HK. I'll still be in Mainland China, very close to Maccau (China's version of Las Vegas).

Oh don’t get me wrong I don’t look down on the people there, I look down on the communists, this board is no place for politics so I’ll let this topic end right here. Wish you all the best buddy, moving to another country is tough stuff.,For the same reasons why Tyler Myers graced us with his presence in Vancouver.
Term and money.
Lifestyle is quite slow paced and relaxed over there (relative to Beijing and Shanghai) from what I understand.
I also understand that many people in Hong Kong look down on those living in Mainland China (and more specifically, the Pearl Delta region), and so I totally get where you're coming from.
Oh I can totally relate. My manager is from HK and even he didn’t want to go back during his vacation.
