Thoughts from game 60 vs Hamilton:

-Almost a carbon copy of the outdoor game, except Hamilton's forwards didn't look quite as good tonight. But their defence was equally as stingy and the Gens get shut out again. Was a very easy night for Costantini.

-If you're going to beat a team like HAM you have to capitalize on your chances and they didn't. Had 2-3 great chances but didn't score on any of them and the PP went 0for again. You'll never beat a team like HAM doing that.

-Paputsakis was good again stopping 34/36. Gens are 0-5-1 against HAM but the Gens goalies have a .913 save % (Leaver) and a .919 save % (Paputsakis) against HAM this season. Pretty impressive considering how lopsided most of these games are

-Big game for seeding on Tuesday against Ottawa

Big game for Ottawa tonight but honestly it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if the Gens lost it, standings wise. OTT and PBO look like they each only have 2 winnable games left (and one of them is against each other) so if the Gens win tonight, there’s a very good chance they finish 6th and get KGN in round 1, which would be less than ideal

Gens have 7 tough games left after this but 5 of them are against MISS, NBx2 and KGNx2. I think they can get 2/5 of those and that would very likely keep them above 8th even if they lose tonight

Jesus Cam Butler. Both guys throwing them early then Butler rocked him. Most guys keep throwing there and try to knock him out but butler just patted him and stopped it. Can’t believe nobody on Ottawa went to check on Smyth. He nearly fell twice skating the 10 feet to the box

Good thing they fired Miller. They look so much better. What a collective effort

played terribly overall. They showed up the first 10 mins and then silent for 40 then turned it on for the last 10 to get to OT and a point...I don't see this team winning another regular season game all year sadly.

Thoughts from game 61 vs Ottawa:

-Perfect result tonight long term. Get a point to ensure they're making the playoffs and staying ahead of the Petes, but OTT gets 2 so hopefully they pass them for 6th

-Gens were good for the first 10 minutes, horrible for the next 10 (Ottawa outshot them 11-3 to end the first). Then okay in the 2nd (shots 9-9) and dominated the 3rd.

-Ottawa got 2 big goals from their bottom 6 but Cooper Way answered with a big shorthanded goal.

-Vinzenz Rohrer with an unreal snipe but then does a no look spinning pass onto McKinney's stick to give the Gens a goal right back.

-The shootout is such a joke. Ottawa has 1 player who's never scored a goal in his OHL career. That's their first shooter and he scores lol. So he now has a game winner, with 0 career goals.

-Leaver was good again stopping 30/33 and was great in OT making 4 huge saves on 2-on-1/breakaways.

-Olausson can't be the top guy on the PP anymore. I get why he's there, because he has the elite shot, but he's so careless with the puck and the high guy is the last guy back, which doesn't mix well. Would like to see Tullio/Moore as the 2 guys at the top with Olausson in the bumper and Ritchie/Harrison down low. I think that would get Olausson going more on the PP as he would just fire one timers and not be asked to walk the blue line, which right now is turning into a lot of turnovers.

-Parfenyuk made his return and looked pretty good for someone who's been out 21 games.
