Thoughts from game 61 vs Ottawa:
-Perfect result tonight long term. Get a point to ensure they're making the playoffs and staying ahead of the Petes, but OTT gets 2 so hopefully they pass them for 6th
-Gens were good for the first 10 minutes, horrible for the next 10 (Ottawa outshot them 11-3 to end the first). Then okay in the 2nd (shots 9-9) and dominated the 3rd.
-Ottawa got 2 big goals from their bottom 6 but Cooper Way answered with a big shorthanded goal.
-Vinzenz Rohrer with an unreal snipe but then does a no look spinning pass onto McKinney's stick to give the Gens a goal right back.
-The shootout is such a joke. Ottawa has 1 player who's never scored a goal in his OHL career. That's their first shooter and he scores lol. So he now has a game winner, with 0 career goals.
-Leaver was good again stopping 30/33 and was great in OT making 4 huge saves on 2-on-1/breakaways.
-Olausson can't be the top guy on the PP anymore. I get why he's there, because he has the elite shot, but he's so careless with the puck and the high guy is the last guy back, which doesn't mix well. Would like to see Tullio/Moore as the 2 guys at the top with Olausson in the bumper and Ritchie/Harrison down low. I think that would get Olausson going more on the PP as he would just fire one timers and not be asked to walk the blue line, which right now is turning into a lot of turnovers.
-Parfenyuk made his return and looked pretty good for someone who's been out 21 games.
