No real marquee teams left unless you count Boston as marquee. The casual fan is going to have minimal interest in the remainder of the playoffs. They're going to miss one great post-season.

What a world...Isles, Columbus, Carolina and Boston are your Eastern Conference semifinalists.
Both top seeds and the defending champs knocked out in the first round.

Edit: Albert just said all 4 division winners knocked out in round 1.

Pretty crazy.

I don’t care about Washington.

Serves them right. They let Trotz go and promote this bald headed novice. They play Brooks Orpik at all after trading him as a cap dump and then signing him after he’s bought out, despite the fact that he’s been done for 10 years. They call up DSP to play for Oshie after he gets injured. Should have left the bum in the minors.

So in the end, serves them right.

Road to the Cup is wide open. I hope none of the Metro teams make it to the finals though. :D

Sharks vs Bruins would be great. Martin Jones for Conn Smythe.

Serves them right for looking like slugs throughout the OTs too

Canes dictated, got to pucks, generated countless chances

If the Isles even get a sniff at the Finals, kinda hoping that the Toronto media invites Tavares to be a guest commentator somewhere.

Canes have a great D squad. Slavin is like what I hope Severson would/will be. Can't root for them because of 2008/9.
Can't root for CBJ because of Torts.
Can't root for Boston because of Marchand.
Can't root for Dallas because of Hatcher in 2000.
Can't root for the Avs because of 2001.

I'm down with Sharks/Isles at this point. Blues are ok too.

Can't root for the Sharks because of Bleed's avatar :sarcasm:

They're almost like a poor man's Florida Marlins.
