I haven't consulted the thread in a while, but wasn't the general consensus that Berg was scouting Bitten to see if he was someone worth investing in?
We can only speculate as to why Bergevin was there.
It seems odd that the GM of all people would be there to see Bitten, a mid-level prospect they already own the rights to. Bitten has been property of the Montreal Canadiens for a year and a half - You'd think they'd have a pretty complete scouting report on him by now. Sure, they still need to decide if they want to offer him an entry level contract, but that would seem like a no-brainer to me.
