This ****ing moron needs to be canned as soon as game 4 is done. Im not even expecting a win, he needs to go into his office after the game and see the pink slip just waiting there
The moron is bringing us closer to the cup then anytime before since 1993.

For the record, I don't think our forward group is great, but it's not as bad as people have said. We DEFINITELY need a top winger and that has been well known. It's a big hole. But one big hole doesn't mean that the rest of the forwards suck.
And btw, if our forward group is weak... all the more reason not to employ a stifiling system that will make our offense more ineffective, esp when we've got lots of firepower on the backend. And we do make the problem even worse with DD's usage...
We're actually no closer to the cup than we got under Jacques Martin.
Martin won 12 playoff games in three years. Therrien - with a much better roster - won 13 playoff games in three years.
Why, because we finished second overall? How good is "da record" now?
Well Rangers finished 1st overall and are about to be ousted from the playoffs....how is their record now.....Vigneault must be an idiot of a coach then right!

Yeah, I took the eye test, and the results were "our gameplan is ****ing stupid".
Jump to 26:42, straight out of the horses ****ing mouth:
"we have to cut wide and put pucks at the net, theres gonna be a rebound and make sure you're there [in the slot to bank it in]" "we are a grinding team, if you dont accept it, we dont have success"
**** YOU THERRIEN
How do you blame Therrien? How is he supposed to get plugs like Markov, Subban, Beaulieu, Galchenyuk, Desharnais, Parenteau, Gallagher, Gilbert, Petry, Eller, Plekanec, and Pacioretty to play a skill game?

Its not MT fault, its because "da players didnt gave their best effort" and/or "they didnt follow the game plan"
Never questions MT decisions.
I know right? Give him actual pieces that can produce points...
seriously though, when your PP has a lower % than Eklund does on guessing trade rumours.....you're doing a really poor job.
And that is just ONE example of poor coaching adjustments
But he actually said "da players gave deir best effort", as in he thinks his team should've won again, as in he has absolutely no clue as to WHY his team can't beat the Bolts.
Well from a western who has seen the Habs play its not hard to see why they cant beat TBL. All season long Montreal scored a miniscule amount of goals against TB. All of a sudden they will score more in the playoffs ? Now I am shocked that the Rangers have quit scoring in the playoffs, very uncharacteristic of the Rags.
The Habs just have no puck luck as the post saved TB once again.
I think the bright lights of Montreal have blinded you folks to the fact that the Habs have a mediocre top6 at best and need luck on their side to score.
Excellent analysis. Got my vote if you hand in your resume to Bergevin.I see you're in the same boat as Therrien. To beat the Bolts, you need great systems that can shut them out and lead to a cycle game below their goal line. The RedWings did this to a tee and should've won the series (they outplayed them in game 7, just couldn't buy a goal, but at least they brought them to game 7). The Habs have played the same way every single time they've played the Bolts. Sure, they switched to a two man forecheck in the playoffs, but their transition game is the same.
Whenever our D have the puck, 85% of the time they'll chip it off the glass and hope it lands on our forward's stick. This obviously never happens. The Bolts players are faster and hungrier than ours and are ALWAYS first on those pucks, no matter how much you yell at our players to compete for da puck. After losing 3, 4, 5 times, you'd think the coach would notice this. Have 1 or 2 forwards give close support to the D puck carrier, make a quick 1-2 passes and voila you're out of the zone and flying down the NZ.
When we're in the NZ, the only way we ever attempt to get into the Bolts zone is to dump it in. This may have worked last season when the Bolts D were incredibly slow, but they've gotten a lot more mobile this year. Again, we dump it in, they get there first and they're now in possession again. Not only are our forwards too slow to survive this chip 'n chase vs the Bolts, they're too small to win puck battles along the boards throughout a 7 game series. We're essentially giving them the puck repeatedly, whether it's through a chip out of OUR zone or a chip into THEIR zone. Again, after losing 3, 4, 5 times the coach should've identified this.
Have our players skate into their zone with speed, then look for a quick pass. Drop it off to a streaking winger, go to the net and give that guy an option. Find a spot in the slot for a one timer (like the Bolts have made a habit of doing). Nope. The rare occasions where a forward will actually skate the puck in, he'll just cut WIDE (rather than to the middle) and take a shot from a dead angle. Now, Bishop, being a pretty average goalie, gives up juicy rebounds on these weak angled shots. But of course no one is in the slot looking to tap in a rebound, and if someone is there it's Desharnais or Parenteau or Gallagher (who actually tapped in a rebound last game).
Never have we seen this team skate into the zone, use their speed to burn a D then make a quick cross crease pass for a tap in. We don't see them pass it to the slot for a one timer either. No one is open in the offensive zone. Bishop's a huge goalie who sucks when you have to make him move laterally. The RedWings identified this and exploited it. Somehow, after losing 8 ****ing times, this bird brained coach still hasn't identified this an an opportunity to score goals vs Bishop. He still sticks to the same tactics that had his team score a near league low goals for this season.
It's an absolute joke. He actually had the nerve to say he has no adjustments to make heading into game 3. Or maybe he's naive enough to believe his team deserves to score more goals the way they're playing. And this post doesn't even cover the PP which is likely one of the worst in league history at this point.
This coach has a solid team in front of him, he's just clueless. His grinding style of hockey sucks the creativity out of even his most creative players. We can really use an end to end goal from PK, but no that won't happen anymore. We can really use a nice cut to the middle and wrist shot from Galch, but no that won't happen anymore. Heck, we can use an 18 year old Galchenyuk who was actually dangerous and had confidence and creativity.
