Why would you trade our best prospects for a player past his primes ?
OEL is 26 and one of the best all around defencemen in the NHL. He would easily be our #1.

Even McKenzie initially dismissed it, then had someone in the business tell him that it might happen, only to check up on it and dismissing it again. This should be a non-story.I don't really agree with Bob McKenzie, you rarely ever see a one for one young star for soon to be UFA star trade in the NHL.
he is way ahead of gardner .with a 5.5 mill cap hit ,somebody is gonna get a solid ,mobile top 2 d man ,for under 7 mil a year ..was dominant last nite 7 shots on net ,I mean as we sit right now ,we wont win a cup ,if we plan on competing next 2 years ,we need better defense ,not sure the coyotes would do nylander straight up for him ,they got some beauties of their own ....id take perlini off their hands on my third line anydayOEL is 26 and one of the best all around defencemen in the NHL. Voted Matthews just because the fact that it was an option made me lol.
I want to know who the three users are who voted to trade Matthews? LOL, it's OEL, not ORR.
