If I had to guess he'll sign on to be a backup elsewhere rather than a starter here. That's what he did last year. Not sure what has changed.

The issue with that idea is Talbot's only signed through the upcoming season.

Most of the options in the trade market seem to be one year away from UFA guys like Ned in Detroit, Talbot with the Wild, and LB with Vegas.

If the Flames think Wolf is ready, maybe they are open to moving Vladar?
