Kings have been really off their game the last couple starts and not having the legs. We'll see what happens but Kings haven't been skating teams off the ice the last two games. Frankly the Flames were the slightly better team yesterday and won a close game after being destroyed by the Kings the weak before.

Kings expended a lot of energy being on a heater for months. Usually when that happens they have 5-6 rocky games after. Might be some resting for playoffs too.

I think Oilers win this. But the Oilers have to be better positionally than they have been. Kings can score, much better than the opponents we've been facing recently.

Say what you will about the Kings, but they make you work for every goal and if you aren’t willing to make simple plays and score ugly, you might get the boots put to you. No blind backhand passes anywhere and no forcing plays that aren’t there in the neutral zone. Please and thanks.

Kings didn't play that badly last night, but Markstrom stoned them. We're going to need Skinner to do the same.

We are at the point of the season where you rest Skinner, let him have his time with his newborn son and wife, and get prepared for the long slog of a playoff run.

Campbell can take the net the rest of the way. Worst case scenario he lets Skinner get some well deserves rest. Best case scenario he finds his game and gains some confidence going into the playoffs where he may need to slot in.

Might be easiest to just play 6 on 5, and let both guys just rest.

That way they can work things out or whatever.

I mean it's not like Skinner wants to play or anything.

That's crazy talk... we're still fighting for home ice advantage and possibly even 1st in the division. That means no rest for Skinner.

Really hope starting this game we can eliminate the first shot first goal thing we’ve been seeing so much of lately.

It’s bad enough in the regular season, but getting scored on that early in a playoff atmosphere whether home or away is going to be significantly more impactful. Not to mention less PP opportunities to answer back.

We can’t afford to be playing down by 1 off the hop.

best "measuring stick" game of the year IMO

as everyone says, LA's style isn't a good style to play for the Oilers but can they fight through it? they're a much better team than last year

Darn old school trap with their holding and interference every two seconds. Blah. lol

This game is a psychological must win heading into the playoffs. They need to know they can’t beat the Kings and I hope it’s in the same fashion they spanked the Knights. This needs to be treated as game 1 of the playoffs.

About as big of a game as any night in the regular season can be.

Win tonight and a division title is still within reach, lose and we might as well start prepping for a road series against the Kings right now.

If he's playing or not he's still away from his son. Unless he's resting on the bench holding his son.

I think Campbell is going to get both games against the Ducks and one against the Sharks (final game of the regular season). The standings are going to firm up by the end of next week after the final LAK v VGK games. Things will get pretty darn interesting tonight if the Oilers win in regulation and the Knights lose to the Sharks. In my view, the Oilers are in the driver's seat considering schedule - but absolutely need to win both games against the Kings.

Imagine this - Edmonton wins the Division and Conference...and Calgary sneaks into the last wildcard spot. EDM v. CGY rematch in the first round. Love it.

Skinner is about to play a ton in the playoffs and they cannot overplay him now down the stretch.

I'm also hoping we see more 12F - 6D line-ups, with Broberg sitting out. More Klim and Shore.

I think the Oilers are going to come out pretty hard considering their last game against the Kings.
