From 2015-2017 the Oilers had the perfect jersey set. Since then we've had some of the most detested jerseys in the league. The orange on this jersey makes it look like a graphic design student created it on photoshop. Wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that Katz's son or Nicholson's grandson designed this piece of shit. This jersey is beer-league level. Just doing a white version of the original would have been so easy, and so much better.

Yeah probably so. It's likely anchored in overall frustration with the team having a losing record and looking mediocre, Ken Holland's flawed team-building, Nicholson still being around, Oilers+, the flames looking great, etc.

I don't know what you were watching, the Oilers weren't half bad in the entirety of that sweaters era and were economically disadvantaged for most of it.
