Possibly.. Beck hasn't shown much at the NHL level though. I'd wager this is an AHL signing as we already have 14 NHL bodies.

Yeah he had two very strong seasons with Guelph in the OHL.

Assets: Has excellent offensive makeup, as well as very good size. Can play on either side of center, which adds to his overall value. Makes an impact at lower levels.
Flaws Lacks consistency in a big way. Needs plenty of work without the puck and in defensive situations. Also needs to make more of his 6-2, 203-pound frame.
Career Potential: Inconsistent winger with a little upside.

Beck is a budding power forward, with a willingness to go to the net. He has demonstrated his goal scoring ability at every level thus far, and has shown in training camp that he has the ability to be a force to be reckoned with. Beck has the talent to be an elite scorer, though his skating could still use some work

OilersNations Condors blogger Rob Zerr hinted at Yakimov back to Russia in his blog today.

I'm really hoping he comes back, and the fact that he did at the end of the year makes me hopeful that he will. He's still got a chance to be a nice piece for the Oil IMO.

At least they have a decent number of the shots to balance he defence haha
