I'll be interested to see what Dell signs for who seemed like the obvious choice with Greiss going to DET. I'm guessing Holland listened to his coach a bit who likely wanted him back.

Money wise $1.25M seemed more reasonable, but atleast he didn't get a shit ton of bonuses again.

Holland clearly did try to improve goaltending but wasn't willing to overpay

... and then did overpay giving Smith 2 million. I can understand bringing in Smith for a one year deal, but only at league minimum and not a penny more.
