Team needs to just ignore Tkachuck and start taking runs at Gaudreau. I'd much rather take a 2 minute slashing, charging or boarding penalty on Gaudreau then take retaliatory penalties on Tkachuck.

Agreed, Tkachuk might settle down when he see's johnny hobbit looking towards the refs with tears running down his cheeks all game.

Tkachuk getting what he deserves from Drai, Kass, etc

Another goal from 2nd line
Depth Scoring
And of course... A win!

Giordano is suspended for kneeing. As you may recall, he severely injured Cam Fowler two seasons ago with a dirty, knee-on-knee hit.

Glad to see the NHL doing something about this.

Bill Peters said Backlund won’t play “this weekend”, so I assume he’s out.

It would be a good time for the Oilers to bring their best game of the year.

Oilers let Tkurtle get in their heads last game. It was helped out by the fact that the refs refused to penalize him. But the team needs to be smarter about picking their spots. Most important thing is getting the win. That’s enough punishment for Tkurtle.

Great stuff.

Still a small sample size but that's some pretty crazy stuff. Essentially saying that the team is over 20% more effective on the defensive side of the ice under Hitch. In a game where every little bit matters that is huge. Would be interested to see how the offensive side is doing.

This will be a good game I think. Hopefully the Oilers can stay composed or even better get under Calgary's skin.

I'm just glad this team is in the mix and the entire line up seems to be moving in the right direction. Last year was brutal and having to watch Mclellans ass start this season was brutal, as well.
