Not the classiest move in the world but the banter was a weak maybe a 2.5 or 3/10 at best, but at least he didn’t say anything out of line imo. I’m sure they have heard worse things from nastiest fans before
What a f***ing douche bag at a magnitude of 10. Just embarrassing.

how much longer can rishaug hold on to that hairline lmao, i am impressed with how many different styles hes done in the past 2 years
Omg lol! I was thinking the exact same thing! 😂😂😂

I love how all of a sudden, Tanev is some kind of elite level shutdown monster. Whatever.
New Flames Banner. "Played half a series without one injured player, Tanev. Didn't survive"

Jebus H Christ. We just played with the Kings in round one who didn't have Drew Doughty, and who didn't make any excuses.

Tanev couldn't deliver Drew Doughty's mail.

Maybe not a popular take...but ive been very impressed with Tyson Barrie. He has been playing great low event hockey.

Agreed. Lots of folks thinking he’s an easy cap casualty move in the offseason but I don’t think it would be that simple with the way he’s playing. He’s playing well overall at the height of playoff intensity. The “defensive” guy you bring in at a lower cap might not be all that much better away from the puck and you’re sacrificing Barrie’s offensive calling card as well. Healthy Nurse, Kulak, Nemo and maybe Sammy can be clearing the crease. Maybe Bouchard can have that coached into him more as he has the size.

The thing is, I’m not sure how you have both Barrie and Kane on this roster next season given the cap.

Bieksa is the best of a bad panel. I've given some props but he also doubled down on what Friedman was saying. The comment you quoted was after him agreeing with the premise that Tanev would make all the difference. Bobby Orr wouldn't make much difference for the Flames last night and didn't most times Habs were drubbing him.

I'll say that I like Bieksa just for the sake of that other poster last night. heh

I get the sense Bieksa just humors the rest of the panel. IIRC, Friedman asked about Tanev like 5 times before he agreed.

I recall thinking Bieksa was just rolling his eyes "Yaya Tanev well help," with a bit of a "well, he certainly can't hurt."

Couldn’t agree more.
These panels are just so bad. I miss Coach’s Corner for certain things, I miss Don saluting the troops and him recognizing the hardworking checkers on the team

Exactly, are people really surprised to see chirping in the BOA...like these were pretty tame chirps. Flames fans just need copium so they are playing this up like we are the worst fan base of all time lol.

People do this shit all the time man. I worked in the industry for years and just at rogers during this season.

Drunk fan thats high off a playoff win against its rival sees 2 opposing players and has a chance to chirp them.

How often does a guy who makes 50k get to talk some shit to guys that are worth millions and famous AND play for your teams rivals? almost never.

What’s hilarious about that whole scenario is that their fan base would constantly bring up the “your overplaying player A” in the past.

Anyway, I thought Woody was a straight hockey nerd type of coach but his interviews definitely have some swagger.

Really like him as a coach. He is so balanced, positive and consistent with all his messaging.

do you know if all teams takes the bus to rogers from the jw? during the la series the players took the bus and i saw the coaches just walking through the pedway.
My last two times to Edmonton, that is where I've stayed. I can't say for sure. I've seen the buses drop the teams off at the hotel. I've seen opposing players in the pedway, but necessarily on their way to the game. My guess would be in a situation like this, they bus to the game.

*Official release: "The Department of Player Safety has chosen not to pursue further action against Flames forward, Milan Lucic. After reviewing multiple angles of the incident and considering other mitigating factors, the DoPS has ruled since Lucic has to play in that shit hole of an arena in a city full of bandwagon fans while having to wear such an ugly jersey with a McDonald's color scheme on it for another full season before he becomes a free agent again was punishment enough."

'totally an unofficial release.

This is a team that missed 4 man games to their top players all year.

Ofcourse they're crying foul, they have not even heard the word adversity before.

I'm sure they felt bad about beating the Stars in a one goal game after they injured the Stars top scorer the game before. If Robertson plays that game 7 and gets that top line chance in OT instead of Seguin they probably aren't even here.

Don't be surprised to see Calgary come out hard next game fellas.

Feels good now but there's a ton of hockey left to be played! Hope these boys carry over what they have going right now. Gotta keep the pedal plastered to the floor.

Hintz was the one that was out injured. Robertson played, but not really. If Dallas had had any lick of offense from players that should be able to pack it they'd have advanced. Unlike most here I think Dallas would be more interesting, and more of a learning curve for the Oilers having to beat a much better D team with better Defenceman. Series would be dull in some ways, but more cerebral.

But Yeah, Flames tears over one injury, lol

i predicted oilers win game 3 (i didnt think it would be that lobsided tho) and cal game 4

this is going to 7 games.

Mcdavid just embarrassed the f*** out of that team for 60 minutes. I would be shocked if we win game 4.

Yeah I can't imagine a scenario, barring something weird happening, where the flames don't come out like maniacs in game 4. Going to be very hard to win

Ah yes, you're right Hintz.

I think Robertson was a game day decision too, but I could be wrong.

I was always under this impression too. The staff are always mum about teams staying there too.

Really pathetic on the part of these 'fans'. I could be blackout drunk, and still nowhere near that stupid or disrespectful. They can't blame alcohol. It's who they are as people. They need to stop, because the simply don't represent us as a whole. It's embarrassing.
They're tourist considering they're staying in the same hotel with these players. Pretty sure a lot them do it cause they don't feel any backlash from their fellow fans.

There's always going to be fans that'll pull off dumb shit like this especially after a win last night. Fans being fans, that goes with the chirping and the trash talking. It happens all the time in every sporting event.

Some of these people are unfiltered and can't control what they say in public and I doubt the alcohol has anything to do with it. It's just in their nature and what they do. It's embarrassing and pathetic.

Flames will come out stronger. As long as they don't give up an early lead, weather those dreadful starts better, they'll win. Love the team, but coming back multiple times, is no good. See game 1.

There is not a defenseman who ever played the game that could have neutralized McDavid playing as he has of late. He could easily have had 10 points in the last two games.

Hey, leave them alone. They barely have enough brain cells left to realize their arena is almost 40 years old. Give them a break.

We were watching Woodcroft's post game presser & my wife turned to me & asked why he kept repeating 63 games & I told her I assumed that was the number of games Markstrom played & he was just playing mind games with the Flames & lo & behold I looked it up to find out that was exactly what he was doing.

Am I correct in assuming that these guys wouldn't be able to make it to elevator without staying at the hotel?
