Trades should have a direction to them. This trade does not.

Montreal doesn’t see Price’s contract as albatross, they still view and treat him as the best goalie alive who just had one year.

Edmonton’s side of that trade just seems like random pieces thrown together that doesn’t consider montreal’s Strengths or needs.

Edmonton surely realizes that they need affordable solutions and shouldn’t have another large contract on the books.

He was paid 13 million July 1st so the salary would be 17 mil over two years. If next year and year after it's 24.975 salary.

He isn't owed 30 million over 2 years at any point since habs already paid the signing bonus.

You do realize Lucic is in that offer right? You're dumping a shit contract in there as is so is Price overpaid if not elite? 100% but the trade is offering Lucic as if it's an asset. At a certain point realize that too.
