I'm done with the 11/7 setup. The top guys are clearly burnt out.
Oh he absolutely was a problem. That Hawks series said everything we needed to know about Tippett.
Time to stop watching for me againAgain, painful to watch
Look, if you were coach you would do the same thing. (I'm assuming you mean starting Smith). You have rock solid evidence that Koskinen burns out quickly and you need to keep him hot. You see Skinner as the future and want to protect his confidence, and know hes still too young. It's like I said last PGT.....and I may be drunk, but Woodcroft started coaching this team, but he isn't anymore.
someone else is calling the shots on how things go down, and leadership is pretty shitty on this club.
f***ing pissed on how certain players are getting leeway...
Ironic considering the Oilers. He could pass more
Inconsistent, bad goaltending for the entire year. Is anyone surprised?
But they weren't doing these things 10 games ago when they were winning. What changed? All three have annoying play habits.
Nurse: Chaotic and high risk, gets too shooting focused at times.
Drai: Holds onto the puck too long, doesn’t make the simple play enough.
McDavid: Overpasses and overhandles the puck, gives goalies too much credit sometimes.
The problem is each of these habits are often contributors to losing hockey.
I'm not going to blame Smith for this loss. Don't get me wrong, he was abysmal as usual.
But I'm going to blame the coach for starting this dumpster fire. There was again no reason not to play Koskinen even if he didn't have the greatest game against the Hawks. I said it in the pre-game, my feelings for this game went from confident to terrified once I learned Smith was starting. He's done, cooked, arrivederci.
Also the special teams were atrocious.
He's far from the only or even main problem but he was still a mediocre coach at best.A problem in a sea of problems I suppose.
There might have been some genius behind that madness. Maybe Woodcroft kept him to prove how bad he is.This one is on Woodcroft and whoever is running special teams..
Kept Smith in net after he allowed 6 goals tonight and played soft all night...
If Smith isn't waived or traded tomorrow, the management has quit on the season
Make a trade. Turris and Shore are nothing players. Benson and Foegele need a push to be anything of substance. And the bottom six vanishes when you take RNH out of the equation.the forwards are all injured. Unless you bring up Holloway, there are no better options
