The losses are just like whatever now. They don't hurt, they don't feel like anything. It's like breathing, it's so natural.

For all the goals scored against tonight there wasn't the bellyaching about the goalie like there was vs the Bolts. Hmmm...

Pretty good 3rd period but that story has played out so many times that it's meaningless.

Spending the entire season waiting for reinforcements only to constantly have more bodies go down isn't the funnest way to spend the season.

Hard to not feel defeated. I hope Davidson is OK.

Counting games with an EN goal, the Oilers have played in 29 1 goal games this season and have played in 11 straight (again counting EN goals).

Season is over. Why is our team always at the highest end for man games lost? Every damn year. We are way too soft and weak.

3 - 2 Stars.

1 game closer to McDavid, boys and girls!

Best wishes to Brandon Davidson and to little Matt Hendricks.

Until we get a priest, a shaman, a couple of witchdoctors, and a few buddists monks to cleanse the curses that plague this team, I'd prefer he stay away.

Honestly don't even see the point of bringing Mcdavid back at this point. The team is 8 pts back of a playoff spot while laying 4 more games.

Honestly didn't expect to win that one. Yeah Pouliot made a bad play but after Nilsson's Happy Wanderer act last game this loss almost feels reasonable. Once again this team struggles through adversity and keeps it close.

Any guesses as to what Davidson's issue could be?

Was expecting a blowout loss. 3-2 is at least respectable.

Hopefully they can beat the Preds and head into the break with some optimism

That doesn't mean anything, besides we need to score TWO more goals to win, and in the NHL two goals is a lot.

Stop trying to sugarcoat it. This team is trash and has been for 10 years now.

More than that.

26 one-goal games (11-10-5) and 7 more with empty netters (3 wins, 4 losses). 33 total.

How did Hall, Kassian, Yak, Eberle, and Draisaitl do? (Didn't watch the game)

Kassian hit the bodies.
Yak scored a goal, otherwise wasn't great.
Hall set up plays, Draisaitl set up plays. Draisaitl think got a PP point (?) but that line got caught for two goals.
Eberle actually forchecked well, took a one-timer on the PP and was probably the better player on his Klinkhammer-Pouliot-Eberle line. That being said... it was a pretty awful line.

Talbot kept them in the game.

I find there are people with an agenda to denigrate players yet when their fav lets in just as many bad goals they don't post. Just thought it was worth mentioning.
