Which fans are all over him? There are no fans at games, he's not very active on social media, and if he's had good advice he's not reading HF or other fan forums. There are some vocal critics here at HF but this is not the real world.

I disagree that social media is not a factor. If you feel like people can say what they want on social media and it don't create a narrative around the player where he never hears those comments, I don't know what to tell you. Word of mouth spreads and it's at a high level in Montreal

Kotkaniemi is not watching french tv or listening to french radio. And no player should be reading a thread dedicated to them on HF.

It's too easy for you to dismiss it. It's deeper than just crowd noise at the games.

It doesn't matter, word gets by, english media will start to pick it up, etc. The media already grilled him yesterday about his lack of production. Its all downhill from here.

You should have seen the media grill him after practice yesterday. For about a week now, even the other players are being asked questions about KK in those media scrums.
