w00t!

McJesus with a Frankenstein look in the 3rd. Damn beast.

I'm a big Draisaitl booster but his defensive intensity is horribad. Maybe he learnt it from Hall?

Our Defense doesn't wilt under a little forecheck and can actually make outlet passes, this is new.

How about our captain? Blood dripping down his face and all.

That's our leader.

Appreciate it brother. But this victory belongs to the guys on the ice and all of us who stand by the squad. A new era is beginning.

Feels good y'all

Yup. Wouldn't have seen that effort last year. Nice Friday night.

Beauty game by a bunch of players.

McDavid, Looch, Ebs, Nurse and Nuge really stood out to me.

Nuge had one of those games where he doesn't put up points but he dominated that 2nd period.

Forgot Letestu and Lander.

Maroon too oh and Larsson and KlefBOM were steady.

Only time I noticed little Johnny was when he was stuck on the camera lens.

Really concerning first period, but survival always seems like it's the name of the game against a team in their home opener. Particularly one that just got beat.

I thought the Oilers played good hockey, by a good teams standards, in Periods 2 and 3. Special teams were good, Talbot was better. Kris Russell was great again. McDavid... is it even worth mentioning, like it's anything new? Giordano-Brodie couldn't handle him at all.

I know if I were the fastest player in the world and about to end up on a 2 on 1, I would definitely dive too.

Lucic's strength was badly needed as the game went on.

RNH was bad in the 1st but I noticed he turned it up in the 2nd and 3rd, props to him.

Eberle played one of his best games of the last 3 years.

D-Corps looks a lot more stable, liked it when Larsson drilled Gaudreau. Klefbom, Sekera, and Russell were also good, Nurse/Gryba were ok.

McDavid was fantastic as usual.

Multiple times that shift. No one was getting that puck off of him.

I thought lucic had a very solid game tonight was nice to see, 2 wins against the flames to start the season! I don't think the oilers can get a bigger confidence boost then that

That's twice the Oilers have avoided the "here we go again" mentality and battled to a win. The first was 2 SH goals against for the Flames to tie the game at 3-3 in Game 1 and tonight after a abysmal 1st period.

it's really satisfying to see the standings. 1st overall in the league, and the Flames dead last.
