So which former Oiler is coming to be the new GM?
Koskinen deal seems to have been the final straw?

Most of this board is actually kind of upset. It means the Oilers finally have a chance of being good.
How can anyone be mad? They signed a goalie with like 30 NHL games under his belt for 4.5Mx3 and then like 2 days later the GM gets fired? That's hilarious and should be recognized as so.Most of this board is actually kind of upset. It means the Oilers finally have a chance of being good.
I would say the standings. Had they won the 3 games they just lost( which was doable ) they're comfortably in the #1 wildcard spot and I don't think todays headlines exist. So which former Oiler is coming to be the new GM?

Bold of you to assume that the Oilers will bring in a good GM instead of going to a former Oilers player from the 1980s.
Because hes a good developing goaltender? Developing in a sense he hasnt played a single playoff series but he will until his new contract expiresI mean, the obvious answer is he does his job as he sees fit until such time as hes not GM.
The real question is why did ownership let him sign the goalie when the entire hockey world saw it coming

Ya, that was exactly my point.
How can the owner accept this, clearly he doesnt think Chia is fit to the task but let him sign a heavy contract ? Makes no sense
Because Sr management and ownership are incompetent and have been making or heavily involved in all roster decisions the whole time
So which former Oiler is coming to be the new GM?
There is a flaw with that thinking. This doesnt make any sense. If the signing was the deciding factor for ownership, they wouldnt have let him do it.
