So Boston could also offer Ullmark for McDavid, as Boston needs a Center and Edmonton needs a Goalie.

It's also obvious you don't pay attention to how the 2 players are right now.
Bolduc isn't even playing at a 0.5ppg pace in the AHL and the 2nd wouldn't move that + they need D more than they need F.

You're not going to like the price of Jiricek, it's certainly a lot more than Broberg.
Based on what? They have very similar career numbers and are both top 10 D picks. Broberg is playing extremely well in the AHL right now

There is no world in which the Oilers are replacing a guy with 750 NHL games who plays 20 minutes a night against tough comp, with a kid who has like 40 NHL games.

Broberg carries no where remotely near the value of Jiricek. Good grief man. This OP is awful. Lock worthy.

Based on the fact that Broberg was drafted in 2019 and Jiricek was drafted in 2022, yet they're both in the AHL.
He has 39 more NHL games played than Jiricek even though he was drafted 3 years earlier.

Broberg shouldn't even be in the AHL at D+5 for a top 10 pick. And he's looked bad every time he's in the NHL. Played 10 NHL games this season. 0-0-0 with -2. Wow... Amazing!
The Oilers have 3 clear vet LHD ahead of him on the depth chart. (Ekholm, Nurse, Kulak) I wouldn't say its his fault. He hasn't been given opportunity, and when he has its been at his offside. Broberg is an absolute horse in the AHL right now, leading the Condors to an extremely good record in their past 15 games playing 25+ min a night. 16 points and +14 in 24 games playing in all situations.
If the price is WAY more than Broberg, the Oilers have no interest.
Gross. Plus we have guys like Mateychuk coming up on the left so it doesnt fit a need and not even remotely close to the value
It's the NHL that has little interest in Broberg. He hasn't shown the ability of an NHL level player in the 5 seasons since he's been drafted. Including this one.

Deployment and opportunity isn't even close. Broberg was shoehorned into the lineup on his offside and given like 9 minutes a night under Woodcroft when the team was ass early season. He has been marinating in the AHL since to extremely good results.
The team was also taking on water before he got down there. They are greatly improved record wise with him playing 25 min a night in all situations
To be fair, Broberg isn't in the NHL because he's playing behind Nurse, Ekholm and Kulak. Jiricek isn't in the NHL because Peeke, Boqvist and Severson are in the way lol
Because he has things to improve on? Hes a 20 year old defenseman? We are looking at a guy with 1st pair upside and want him to actually develop into that? His skating and strength isnt there yet, its not a secret and even though hes easily better than someone like Peeke it doesnt mean he has to sink or swim in the NHL yet.
You dont think Edvinsson is better than anyone on Detroit's blueline?

If Broberg is as good as you claim he is, what the hell is he doing in the AHL 5 years after he was drafted?
Edmonton is supposed to be contending right now. Columbus can afford to wait and their prospect is younger.
