It is a bit of a weird stat though, i would not consider a one goal deficit that big of a deal. They were down by 1 in all their games but scored pretty quickly to tie it and did not really face a huge deficit through their first 5 games.
Its not like their having miracle come backs down by 2 or 3 with 5 minutes left. Its a little bit of an overblown achievement.
Yup. They've spent 41 minutes trailing so far this season which is the six least in the league.
Interestingly enough, they're actually leading the league in minutes while tied with 173:35.
Real GM might deserve more of the credit. All of Holland's pick ups (and there's alot that's been inserted into this lineup) have worked out exactly as planned. PKers were brought in to PK and are getting it done. Bottom 6ers were brought in to add speed and chip in every now and then and they have. Goalie brought in to help Kosko to make them both better with a lighter work load is working. Neal was brought in, and we all know how that's going.
It is though, but go off. Just better hope your season doesn't end the same way, though it probably will.Sorry that's nothing like this. That's like saying you remember when Dave Andreychuk scored 54 goals in one season in comparison to Gretzky's record of 92 in one season.
That’s an interesting way to say that McDavid carried his team to 5 straight wins.

History dictates they're due this cut.The good news is that the Oilers will set another record when they become the first team to miss the playoffs after opening the season with 5 comeback wins.

Time will tell if what's happening is legit. If it turns out to be, such remarks will be fun to revisit.
Clearly a comment from someone looking only at the box score. That’s an interesting way to say that McDavid carried his team to 5 straight wins.
You mean trailing for only 41 minutes in 5 games isnt sustainable? Not sustainable.
I'm being very honest.I mostly said it in jest. Lets be honest here .. the Oilers dont exactly have a great track record in the last 10 years.
Having said that, they are a Canadian team and id love to see them do well.

Cool story. Not particularly relevant but cool.
The Edmonton Oilers is our only hope for the cup as a nation. We Canadians have been left at the alter many times, have our best players pillaged and taken into the states where they thrive and become men. The manliest of men. The Edmonton Oilers bucked that trend drafting the best player since Mario- another GTA god when the numbers “15-4-6-1” trembled from uncle Gary’s mouth on the fateful day of April 18, 2015. We also drafted a player that changed the landscape, opened the eyes of another Nation and giving a country of 80+ million hope in Germany.Plan the cup parade Oiler fans, the Oilers are going to go 82-0 and will bring the cup back to Canada.
