Trade season is over. What are your predictions on how the season's transactions will effect the year end standings?

Really no big moves. The teams that were way behind the 8 ball, Sarnia, Windsor, Niagara, Barrie, all added the most.
London, if Milano does NOT report, didn't do much. Same with Kitchener. Erie did nothing.

I personally don't think much changes.
London, Erie, Kit should still be favorites and in that order.
Sarnia and Windsor I think could make a run and would be not shocked or surprised at all if they won the west. But their moves I think made them go from way behind talent needed to either just behind or even in talent. Problem is 1 of those 2 teams will have 5th seed. That means they will have to play 4th seed (either kit, lon, Erie) first round then play 1st seed in second round (either kit, lon,Erie) then play in 2nd or 3rd in the finals. Tough, tough, tough road. Especially when both teams have little experience in playoffs

I don't know about the standings but to me the two winners are Ottawa and Sagenaw, its just insane the returns they got. If they play their cards right the future is bright.

All of this year's trades should be duly recorded here:
http://hfboards.mandatory.com/showthread.php?t=1938135
and reference details here:
http://hfboards.mandatory.com/showthread.php?p=111790049#post111790049

Please look over the entries for the team or teams that you follow and post here any corrections, omissions, edits.

I'm especially interested in hearing information on the terms of conditional picks.

Also, if you have any suggestions for next year, please also speak out. As I have time before the new trade season, I have the following in mind:
- Adding dates in the main page (the references already have dates)
- Adding stat links to the main page (if HFB memory limits allow) so that season end and playoff contributions of the acquisitions and releases can be easily evaluated
- I may add the information about traded pick's linked to another team

Thanks for everyone's help putting this together.

Hey folks,

A couple of questions:

1) Although the ultimate success of a trade should be evaluated long term, the end of the regular season and the playoff run are the first milestones for evaluating this year's trades.

Who do you think the trade winners and losers have been so far this year?

Here is the summary of transactions: http://hfboards.mandatory.com/showthread.php?t=1938135

2) The "OHL Trades 2015-16 Season Thread" was a work-in-progress this year. Do you have suggestions for improving it next year?

It's tough because technically the Sting have gotta be considered losers for trading a million picks for Konecny and then only getting him for 2 playoff games (both loses) but it was a trade that needed to be made. Obviously nobody knew he'd have a season ending injury

I'm inclined to agree. Konecny seemed to up his game post-trade, contributing strongly in Sarnia's second half and should have been a huge piece in its playoff run. The remaining wildcard is waiting til fall to see if he is back for another year or if Philly thinks he is healthy and ready enough for them.

Interestingly Ottawa's second half was also strong, despite loosing Konecny and Studnika. Furthermore, Chmelevski only was around for 5 games before his season ending injury. There is no question Chmelevski will be a big future contributor in Ottawa.

Niagara's been a solid winner with its trades so far. I think it could be argued that their acquisitions were instrumental defeating Ottawa 4:1 in a series that was in fact much closer than appearances. Since joining Niagara...
