Com'on......call a spade a spade......the kid is an "idiot"
He's the one that got the crowd going in the first place.
No discipline by the coaching staff what-so-ever

They just showed a NB fan being escorted out of the game..must be that damn Bertuzzi causing trouble again!!!

Haha my thoughts exactly...that damn bertuzzi is such a trouble maker, geeze....maybe he should get a 15 game suspension for causing a fight in the crowd.

Not a bad idea, I will take that under advisement.

Sincerely David Branch

If you watch the replay of the game on the Ontario Hockey League web site, about the 2 minute mark, you see Kyle Locke cross check Dickenson from behind into the boards after he scores. This is many times worse than the shove or that Hosang gave Bell.

This is where I would like to see some consistency in league discipline - if you truly want to change the behavior, consistently deal with the action, regardless of the result.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Fully agreed, this is definitely suspension worth. I am surprised not even a 2 minute penalty was assessed, especially how this happened AFTER the goal. Luckily Dickinson was able to shake out the cobwebs and return to the game.

Hard to believe not even a penalty, shows how stupid the 15 gamer to HoSang is,for a shove to had a bad result, what Locke did was 10 times worse and with much more intent

Locke push

I was at the game and watched the replay on the OHL Network. It was hardly a push...more of a reaction to a player cutting close in front of another. There was no intent whatsoever. Proof of that is the Storm didn't even challenge Locke.
Had Dickenson turned to his left to go behind the net, he would not of even fallen down.
Could it have had bad consequences....sure.

Judgement call by the ref to let it go. Good call.

It happened right in front of me and Locke nudged him. If he wanted to hurt him he could have. Dickinson is fine, Locke is in the pressbox next game, so it's water under the bridge.

If they happen to pull out the win on Friday night, that would be a huge win for them in my books. To bounce back from two heartbreaking losses at home would be a massive accomplishment. Even if they lost in six or seven, that would definitely give the North Bay fans something to cheer about.

As a Guelph fan, I have no problems with it. It wasn't a big push. My issue is with the OHL, even as a small nudge it seemed like more force then the Ho-Sang incident.

NB is very quiet today. I guess reality has set in. :D

Mosts of the posts from Guelph fans have been about popcorn, not really worth reading or responding to.

The Windsor Spitfires players have done really well this series, without Ebert's great play, especially in the last minute of game 3, we'd be tied 2-2, and possibly the unranked North Bay Battalion could have been going for the sweep against the top ranked team in North America if not for the game one overtime loss.

PP as moderator I am disappointed that this "idiot" comment was allowed to stand. I would like to know why you did not deal with this. IMHO no one should be allowed to call someone an idiot. It is not our job to monitor the boards. Is this type of commentary allowed? If it is, I will start doing the same.

I think the post you're referring to was directed at Tyler Bertuzzi.

And I'm pretty certain these boards allow posters to call players a variety of names so long as they're in no way slanderous towards them. And having seen the kid's character in the past two games, I can see why one might see him as an idiot. MOD

reelspin, can't find anything about popcorn on this page. We in Guelph consider players traded for as being members of the Storm, is Thompson still a ranger, do you refer to other battalion players as former whoever they were traded from?
The silence is deafening from north bay.
This series could just as easily be over swept by Guelph, let us just be happy we still have hockey to watch, unlike in 18 other cities.:handclap:
Lets hope for a good game tomorrow, and may the better team come out on top.

If Bertuzzi was on the Battalion people would love him.
I used to hate Brett Mackie when he played for Belleville, he played his OA year in Brampton and became one of my favourite guys on the team.

Bertuzzi is a great pest and it is great to see him getting not only under the skin of the battalion players, but also the entire fanbase (evident of them complaining on these boards, and pouring beer/pop and popcorn on the 18 year old kid).

He is the player you love to hate if he isn't on your team. But also the type of player you win with too, as he has skill, heart and determination. The more hate/criticism he takes the more he elevates his game. I am surprised no battalion player has manned up and fought him.

Also, as discussed he was drafted in the 2nd round by the best managed NHL team, that not only speaks volumes for his NHL potential....but also makes a strong statement as he alone is drafted higher than any current battalion player...am I right?

I will take Bertuzzi on our team any day. In fact, maybe we can strike a trade now if fans are allowed to do so (haha). I'll go so far as offering to billet the kid if he comes to play for NB. He'll have to cut his hair though.
He is no worse than Hendricks - whom I also love having on our team.
Hope its a good game tonight. As much as I don't like losing, I dont mind it when its close. A blowout is boring to watch - win or lose.

Some people that post here actually have jobs...also...the mods here don't read EVERY post...got a problem with something you see..report it...it helps the mods out.
