With how stacked this draft is on forwards, I think we will only see 3 defenseman getting drafted with our 8 picks.

I don't know about that, there are some amazing dmen in the second and third rounds, and with five picks in those rounds I think we will grab at least three just in those rounds.

And pretty sure we have nine picks

2 third rounders
1 fifth rounder
1 sixth rounder
1 seventh rounder

This is getting fairly close now! Very excited to be going to the draft this year; I'll try and post some of the picks once they happen (if I care enough of remember ).

This is a great draft year for Calgary to make an impact. Getting a good pick at 15 and absolutely able to restock the cupboard with the other 5 picks.

People that want us to pick Kylington at 15 [mod].... I just don't see him becoming an NHLer. Plus, he's not even remotely physical, and has been criticized for lack of effort. That is literally the opposite of what the Flames are trying to build. I would frown (intensely) at the TV if they picked Kylington.

Me too haha, switching forsbaka-karlsson and andersson might make more sense but would love getting all those dmen. Would fully stock up our defence prospects.

David Henley looks like he could be a late round steal. I hope we can get him
