I have zero confidence in Subban. But that's okay, Canada hasn't had a huge advantage in net in awhile.

Why? His stats suggest he could be the best keeper we've had in a few years. Plus he already plays on an Olympic sized ice surface. Nothing but positives from what I can see.

With that much talent in front of him Subban can play like Jeff Glass did in 2005 and be just fine.

I couldn't believe Brossoit was cut either and thought he had a good shot at being the starter or at least 1A, but I have a lot of faith in Subban.

I'm not, he's been really skakey this year. He did look really good in camp though.

Sounds like Huberdeau isn't playing tomorrow, Rattie will step in on the top line.
Also, Ristolainen and Barkov will be resting and wont be in tomorrow's game. Disappointing because they are two of my favorite 2013 prospects.

I'd be surprised to see Subban last the whole tournament without getting pulled at least once.

Excited to see some high quality hockey. And by quality I don't just mean just the audio or video feed....

That's a little bit disappointing we won't get to see those studs tomorrow. As a consolation we will get to see the likes of Jones and Lindholm though. But on a sad not we won't get to watch Klefbom. Those damn negatives always seem to find a way to outweigh the positives here in Oil country...

Looking at the Slovakian roster, Gernat probably would have been their best player too. Same with Reider in Germany, who it sounds like won't be playing but he'll just accompany the team.

I'm not really surprised about Brossoit TBH. He had a terrible Memorial Cup and got absolutely lit up by the Russians in the subway super series. Subban would definitely be my starter over Brossoit, no question.

Now Peterson making the squad over Brossoit? There's some discussions to be had there, forsure.

David Musil with Czech Republic... Will most likely be captain.

Too bad about Klefbom, Gernat and Rieder.

Klefbom could've been the captain for Sweden and I'm almost certain Rieder and Gernat would don the C for their respective teams as well.

Could've had 7 oilers with 6 of them captains ... O well

Anyone else surprised Zharkov's on the Russian squad? Or what?

Not based on his Subway Series performance. Anyone can attest to the fact that he was one of if not the most effective forward physically and provided a lot of energy, creativity and scoring chances.
