Friedman reporting Marner asking for Matthew's money. Leafs counting with 9.5. He said Leafs believe good chance of offer sheet with him. Would Habs be interested?

If there was ever a player to send an offer sheet too it's Marner. I don't know if they're interested, but they should be. Laine would be my second choice.

no need to offer marner,focus on kapanen and johanson,let them have a couple of second rounders,which can be recovered by trading lesser productive players.

Kotkaniemi, Poehling, Juulsen, Scherbak were our last 4 1st overall picks. Is Marner worth that? Not only is the acquisition cost unpredictable but what AAV is necessary to ensure Toronto chooses the picks? 11 million? 12? And where does that leave us when Kotkaniemi, Suzuki, Domi (man how much would Toronto love to add him?) become RFA'S? It's risky business. I'd rather pursue Duchene. The cost is much less

I just read an article where there's a possibility that Mtl should offer sheet Kapanen due to Toronto's cap mess. If that was possible how would everyone here feel about it?
