Our local Grant's (similar to Woolworths) had a lunch counter. Every Friday we went for a golden cheese dream, ie, a grilled cheese sandwich. Awesome treat!!!
I haven't had grilled cheese in quite a while. I usually make it on the Foreman grill. Might have to dig it out this weekend.

Bruins don't play in Nashville next season, they play in Prague. Want to go there instead?

This reminds me, have they released info on when this game is on or when tickets are going on sale etc.. yet?
Don't want to miss the opportunity to watch them on this side of the pond as it will be a long time before I get to watch them stateside again.

OMG I remember Grant's, although ours did not have a lunch counter.

We had a Grants in my hometown. Got my winter jacket for first grade there. I don't think it had a lunch counter, but I could be mistaken. I do know my mom always hit the Woolworths in Quincy for a hot dog at the lunch counter whenever we were shopping there.

I don't think they've released any official information yet, other than the fact that it's at the O2 arena:

Events & tickets

It's not listed on the website, so it probably hasn't been officially scheduled. The Wikipedia page for international NHL games says "TBA" for date, and only lists 1 game, which goes with the fact that STHs are being charged for 41 + 3 preseason games next season, and not 40 + 3. It'll be a Nashville home game.

The season traditionally opens on the first or second Wednesday with 4 games: US v US East, CAN v CAN East, US v US West, and CAN v CAN West, with one of the teams being the Cup winner. The last two years, when two teams have played in Europe to open the season, they've started on Saturday (2018-9) and Friday (2019-2020) after the season started.

So, my best guess would be either Friday or Saturday October 9-10, assuming opening day is October 7. (Starting on October 14 feels way too late, especially with the relatively new bye week.) Friday night in Prague would be Friday afternoon in Boston and Nashville. Saturday night would be Saturday afternoon - a good viewing time for all. I doubt Sunday would come into play - the teams would already be behind in terms of games played, and a Sunday afternoon game in Prague would be very early Sunday morning in the US. Sunday night in Prague wouldn't be as desirable in Prague (people have to work) or in the US (football).

Lol. I used to work with an old timer that absolutely hated seeing drivers on their phones while driving and he would go on a pissed off rant about it everytime he saw it.. He would honk at them. One day we were in the work truck and a woman was texting on the highway and we were in the lane to the left of her and he honked and it scared the crap out of her and she jumped and threw her arms up and while doing so accidentally threw her phone out the window... I never laughed so hard in my life.
I laughed pretty hard at just the story of it!

I found this online service called Trim that will negotiate with Comcast and all the other utilities, and so far it’s been pretty good. They negotiated a sweet internet only deal with Xfinity for me. (I cut the cord a while back)

They take 10%

Trim | An Assistant That Saves You Money

I just unleashed them on Verizon and Sirius XM today so we’ll see how that goes
Please let us know how it works with Verizon. I'm looking at a new phone, and I know they'll want to "upgrade my plan", even though we're currently at $20 a line and lass than what the chat agent quoted for the unlimited plan. Still right around $200 a month though - would love to drop that down.

Absolutely! I set it up yesterday for Verizon and Sirius XM and they already dropped my Sirius XM subscription by a good chunk ($10/month) and I just got a text from them that they've started negotiating my Verizon bill. They work fast!

And a correction, they charge 33% of the first year of savings

Laying in the hospital with a broken hip. Backcountry skiing + tree = destroyed hip. I’m waiting for a CT scan them should get some good pics. I imagine rehab will be brutal, I won’t be moving much for awhile. This morphine is nice. I hope I don’t need surgery.

Anyone looking for a deal, Chipotle is offering BOGO if you are wearing a hockey jersey today for hockey week in America. Not sure if this has already been shared, but it's a pretty good deal

Totally get it. Social media management is about 70% of my role/job. Some days I wish the feeds would just eat themselves.

I wish I wasnt so dependent on social media or there was on giant app that did it all but I get messages not only in emails but on FB, IG, Snap..................ugh............

Yeah. I’m 28 and have never broken a bone before so I went big! I’m still in the Rumford Hospital and it’ll be a few hours until they send me to Lewiston. It’ll be a long, hungry night for me. At least I can watch the Bruins though.

Hang in there. My daughter and future son in law (who live in Maine) are here visiting this weekend and they’re rooting for you!
