I’m incredibly thankful for grocery delivery. I’m at a point in my life where I’ll happily pay a delivery fee, tip, and slight premium on some items in exchange for one less thing to do and salvaging a small piece of my sanity during a crazy time of year.

Since I’m not impulse buying, it probably works out to be similar to what I’d pay physically going to the store myself

I tried it and found that finding the items to buy online took almost as much time as just going to the store. Though I did go to the store this morning for (mostly) alcohol (Yes, they sell alcohol of all sorts at the grocery stores here!) and it was a zoo, especially the parking lot, so I get the allure. It just didn't save me a while lot of time.

Christmas Eve and my parents find a little kid roaming our neighborhood in only his underwear. Turns out thanfully he was a neighbors kid. Watch your children people especially your special needs ones.

We wrapped our presents early this year for the first time, so my Christmas Eve will not be spent wrapping until I go to bed. Complete win for me!

Slow but brutal and it keeps going strong all the way to the last episode.

I bumped it over and was putting him back. Then I sprinkled him with cinnamon to restore his magical powers (one of the kids in their class said her mom told her that did the trick). They bought it or at least pretended to buy it.

I have to say that this was the best Christmas for me from a mental health standpoint in several years. Most of you know how I struggled with my father's long illness & death plus business difficulties...I still have very bad days and I always will...but I have also definitely gained a greater sense of peace & calm in the past year and so I was able to really enjoy Christmas with the family.
