The last three episodes may be the greatest in the history of TV. That is the way to end a series.
Indeed. Just a masterpiece.

This sounds like something @EverettMike would write about for his Nerdist articles.
I'll have to go back and do that.
I really should just binge the whole show again before the premiere.
Meh. Thought the ending was just okay. For a smart guy he did way too many dumb things, especially with how it ended.
Nailed it.
Spoiler alert incase you haven’t seen it already. You could look at it that way, or you could look at it as him knowing it was his time.

This is true, but I wanted him to live. The first time I watched it I actually thought he might live since the police and I’m sure EMT’s were there right away. Kinda pointless though since he was going to die no matter what.
I rewatched the entire show after season seven. There is far too much foreshadowing to be a coincidence, hell even a major character's name in Episode 1 is from a scene all the way in season 6. It all points to the entire plot being mapped out before they filmed the first episode. If this is so, I imagine it was the first series to ever be written this way, and thus why it is so superior to anything before. Maybe not as blatantly obvious as the "Luke kissed his sister" Star Wars plot holes, but even the Sopranos and Breaking Bad had disconcerting McGuffin twists which seemed out of left field. If GoT has any of these, they slipped by my watchful eyes.
What's next, you gonna stab me with your skate?
I find the commitment of 5/6/7+ season TV shows too much. The only show of that length I've ever stuck with is Breaking Bad and I did admittedly like it. However I gave up on The Sopranos at some point during season two. Watched the first episode of GoT and never watched another.
I love a good mini series though. 8-10 hours of quality entertainment and I'm in.
True Detective (season one)
The Night Of
Sharp Objects
Band Of Brothers
They are among my favourites.
Many of us in Boston grew up with Miss Jean on Romper Room - This is the ONLY surviving video when the crew said goodbye to a retiring cameraman
Regarding tv series, movies & mini series based on books: I expect the show/movie to follow the book. Not necessarily word for word but certainly very close to the story. I can't stand it when the producers/directors want to put their own "creative interpretation" on the air.
The best mini series I've ever watched all followed the books they were based on very closely: "Shogun", "The Thorn Birds", "Winds of War" (all done in the early 80s) "Band of Brothers" was very good too. "Call The Midwife" is a tv series based on a series of books and it is excellent as well. I don't get HBO so I haven't seen "Game Of Thrones".
You mean dumb it down for the masses for more $$?
You could look at it that way, or you could look at it as him knowing it was his time.
One thing about GoT, it is not dumbed down for the masses. Sometimes you need a glossary just to keep tracks of the characters, never mind how they fit into the story. Sure it gets easier as you go along, but I attribute that to attrition, not a simplifying of plot lines. The more characters that die/disappear, the less you have to follow. Especially that friggin' Rickon. I forgot all about him for almost 6 seasons.
He sounds like a winner, and someone to be taking financial advice from.
Never tell people what you make. Grow up.
That wasn't him telling, it was a self stroking post for his own edification. But if that's what he needs to feel good about himself, okay. Good for you Vegas...
Today is pay day. Look at my check and notice I made $100 more than last check. I look at my hours and rate and notice I got another $1 raise. Must be since the company bumped everyone up.......................just need to look if this effects the raise I been working towards.
LMAO still have like 8,000 hours until I am eligible for a bonus check every quarter. with my current hours it looks like with my very bad math I will be eligible in 5 years.
Must be nice those every quarter to have a good 2-3K added to your check. My coworker was like yeah my check was $3,200 after garnishes and paying back 401K. I'm sitting there like my $850 was cool.
No where did I mention what I make. Maybe use your eyes and try IDK reading?
Or maybe I am grateful I work for one of the top companies that actually treat their employees well?
